I learned that.....having another rigger double check my new leg straps/boc sewing is a good thing....even if nothing was wrong with it and they look at you strange for having them look at it.

Student video's at your DZ....
divnswoop replied to divnswoop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
I agree with you... The student is buying the video for the video footage.(just 1.... not huge quantities) The music just adds to the footage AND gives the artist more exposer. I know when I hear certain songs on the radio, I always think about the video that went with it....If fact I've bought a large amount of cd's because I heard the song on a skydiving video!! -
Student video's at your DZ....
divnswoop replied to divnswoop's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Not getting much response in the other forum...So I'll open it up to all jumpers. Does your DZ put music on the students first jump video? If so is it non-copyrighted music or any mainstream music? Thanks for the vote or feedback. -
Skydive Greene County Memorial Boogie!
divnswoop replied to PhreeZone's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Only if you charged $349 for them AND promise to pay the DZ $109 for each one turned in! -
Just curious...we have had some talk about music on the video's at our dz and just wanted to get a feel for several other places I haven't visited. Copyright/ownership/permission issues have came up. Thanks **edited**.....please vote..I don't need any comments as to who or where.(unless you want to share)

But that man can stop the big mass when he needs too! In dublin he comes up to film me and a little passenger. I think our tandem exit weight was almost lighter than he was!! He begged in that accent....do-cha think you can keep the fall rate up a tad?.... We get out in freefall and I'm flying tight trying to help....Then he pops 30 feet above me like it was NOTHING!!! I know we were in the low 100's range. It's a site to see a man that size stop in freefall!

AAD's & Personal Acceptable Risk Thresholds
divnswoop replied to Hooknswoop's topic in Safety and Training
Yeah, I didn't include your viewpoint because I "think" we are on the same page. My issue is with the other people who blanket the community with statements like, I understand the arguement AND agree with it to a point. I tried to get ron to admit that,"Not ALL skydivers fall into this." and that,"there are people who are qualified, able, and within their acceptable risk level, but still chose to only jump with an AAD because they view it as an intelligent thing to do." But he chose not to comment.http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1624023#1624023 -

Skydiving on the Today show, Monday May 2nd
divnswoop replied to johnny1488's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Because they were getting in air shots of the tandems.(at least that's what it looked like) -
OK I don't see your bitching then. If you can admit: 1. Some people rely on AAD's to get on jumps that are above their acceptance level. 2. These people are not "safer" since they are on jumps. 3. A jumper should never use an AAD to allow them to do more dangerous things... Then you have bitched for no reason other than to bitch. You have said time after time things you made up in your head as comming from someone else. If you actually read the damn thread you would see no ONCE did I say you sould jump without an AAD. I have said TIME AFTER TIME (that you ignored over and over) that if you think the damn jump is too dangerous without an AAD, then you should not go on it withone. Yeah, one I completely agree with!!! other than add to the final comment: "There are skydivers out there who are capable and within their limits, but still choose not to do certain jumps if they don't have a cypres....and that's ok."

AAD's & Personal Acceptable Risk Thresholds
divnswoop replied to Hooknswoop's topic in Safety and Training
There are two groups of people looking at this from two different views. It's all about how we look at the cypres. Group 1: Going to make a skydive. We ask ourselves," Are capable of the jump? Are we qualified? Are we within our acceptable risk level? THEN we decide to jump with a cypres because WE(and this is just our opinion) feel that it is an intelligent thing to have on our rigs. Group 2: Think that ALL of the people in group one come to THAT conclusion differently. When group one says they won't do AFF, freefly, or a 400 way without a cypres, group 2 thinks that they rationalize the "added risks" because they have a cypres. Now don't get me wrong, I know there are skydivers that do things outside of the lines only because they have a cypres. I hope we all agree that this is dangerous. But this is just not the case with ALL of us. With posts like, This comment starts with the cypres. Do I want to wear a cypres? Then it works it's way back to the skydive. Personally, I have done aff with and without a cypres. I won't do the latter anymore. I just don't see a reason not to wear a cypres. I don't think ANYBODY should have to prove anything to themselves to decide to wear a cypres. But if that's what you feel, than that's the way you feel. I'm not going to sit here and say you need to look at whether you need to look at whether you should be jumping or not because of this.(like people are telling me I shouldn't do aff because I won't do it with a cypres) The only thing an AFF I has to prove is his abilities in the AFF course. I think we ALL agree this is a bad ideal. BUT once again, not ALL skydivers are deciding to do a more risky skydive just because we have a cypres. Yes they are out there, but I don't think Kallen or Dave are in this group and that is why we have been going on and on for 12 pages. -
Dave....your wasting your time.

PM me a picture of your boobs and a picture of your ass and I'll do the comparison for you. Blues, Dave Why PM????? that's what posts are full!

*** If you had a perfectly good ass on your right, and a perfectly good set of boobs on your left, where would you look? ...can you look in two directions at once???? probably lookin to the right though..(I think I'm out of the norm on that though)
