New DZO? Do I know this person??? It's always a quiet, subdued party when the Pitts brothers are there.... Since I missed last years, I'll definitely be there for this years party. I've been missing Palatka this past month or so! What day do I need to be there to help set up for the Boogie?

Well, 2 people at our dz recently bought a "complete rig" (new rig/2parachutes/cypres II,& assembly) from a Florida company. Both rigs showed up today. Apparently, assembly at this business means that they are all wrapped in their own plastic bag. So I guess these jumpers don't have to worry about the manufacturer assembling their rig.(Just have to worry about getting a refund on the assembly that they paid for.)

Peter! I was hoping for the blood pumping shots, not the cleaned up aftermath. Well, at least you didn't sew two fingers together!! ...couple of my friends were down the street from you a couple days ago. I told them to stop by, but it was awful early in the morning!!!

I think Missg8tor is the only one that I have met as far as the women that have committed to the game. I delt all the tourneys at the Dublin Boogie....Pic to come and clearify the rules above!? (One piece of clothing for every shot?)

I have seen 2 people "land" their reserves unconscious after a cypres fire. One had a sprained ankle from the landing, the other had no injuries due to landing the reserve without a flare. Personally, I would much rather come down under a reserve in half brakes than nothing at all.

Parker......the answer is........ a staplegun! See me next time your out and I'll pack it/ show you some tricks. Like a couple people have said the standard for openings have changed since the Sabre was the state of the art canopy back in 1992. It normally opens a bit faster than the ZP Navigators/ Manta's you have jumped here. You might want to check with the I's here at the DZ if you have any questions about something and use DZ.com as "further knowledge".

I'll never forget seeing Sara's radiant smile while running to the plane doing back to backs...She was one of those people that could brighten your day without even talking to her. What a beautiful person....

Thanks everybody!! I'm really looking forward to my solo x-country too. Since I've traveled alot with the jump plane, I'm already pretty familar with the different navigation systems so hopefully I won't get "lost". I was getting pretty down about flying after the 2 planes that I would be getting training/ right seat multi-engine time later in the year, crashed within a week of each other.( was somebody sending me a sign?) But I have a new burst of energy for it and hopefully it will get my nose back in the books to prepare for the written. It was such a perfect morning to solo too. It was so hazy first thing this morning that the sun was this AWESOME red flame in the sky. I'll never forget turning downwind, seeing the sun there on my right, taking a nice deep breath, remembering some things from the past, then realizing I was on my own to bring her back down.

Remember what it felt like you got your drivers license? .....I got to re-live that again this morning at 7:15 when my flight inst. said, "stop the plane", then got out and said," have fun!" So I got to take 61G for 3 runs around the pattern by myself. The first and last landings were almost perfect. The second?..... well, what do they say about walking away...? ....going to be hard to take my smile away today!!!
