How far will DZO go in insulting you?
divnswoop replied to matereti's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
As much as I like dogs, I can see why some DZO's and managers have adopted a "no pet attitude". I have been to a couple dz's where it's hard to even hold a conversation because there are 6 dogs barking all day. Most are tied up around the DZ and some just run free....free to run across my lines as I'm packing, free to run out in front of me while I'm coming in under canopy at a high rate of speed, and free to come over and "mark" their territory on MY RIG! Grated there are several dogs that I enjoy having around the DZ. They are well trained and behave. BUT, allowing a well trained dog around just opens the door for any other person to bring their dog. The only thing more obnoxious than a consistant barking dog is an owner that constantly yells at their barking dog......I love dogs......time and place though.... -

Nut you have ALWAYS have a HUGE stack at one point in every game I've seen you play. Your a good poker player and will win.......you just need change your game a little at different points in the game!!.....Next thurs is on me!

ALWAYS......especially now that I'm jumping a system that I only have about 100 jumps on (sigma) after 10 years of Strong jumps, i feel like I have to constantly think about body position and handle placements on my tandems.....

Frontier Sky Divers MOST Expensive place to train
divnswoop replied to JohnElliott's topic in Events & Places to Jump
Wow...... NORMALLY it takes a couple years to burn ALL the bridges to your local DZ's!!!! I guess it takes someone with "brains" to burn them all down in a day! Good luck in your quest.....BTW, did you get your pilots license for $1,000 at a non-profit club too? -
lol......seems like you have it all figured out!! Bill.....my point was this is just as dangerous on a Strong/sigma/vector rig....(he aluded to the sigma system)..NOT that is WASN'T dangerous in my eyes!!
-
Uh....the tandem rig has nothing to do with it being dangerous.....
-
I had a S/L student years ago that was involved in a near fecal accident........ well, I'm pretty sure it wasn't near now that I think about it...
-
I vote for having an auction!! (if I have a vote) By the time we get done jumping, (sunset is around 6:40 then) gather everybody up, and have a 10 person tourney, it puts the final table back to around a 9/9:30 start time and I remember how things were 3 hours after sunset last year!!....just my opinion though...
