That would be me, an un-experienced jumper who used logic to compensate for experience

If we apply this ideea we need to have different separation times depending on the size of the current, last and next group. The tendency at any DZ I've jumped (not so manny @ 9) is to keep the same separation time (with the prev group) for a 2way, for a 4way and for a 6way. For a 4way it will be harder to avoid tracking into the next group and for a 6 way it will be probably impossible. However, I agree that for a 2way tracking perpendicular to the jump run it increase the chances of getting a good separation on opening. Regards, Jean-Arthur Deda. I can relate to your problem. Are you having ADD/Hyperactivity? If not then its probably no biggie. I'm having a mild ADD (and I'm also hyperactive) and legs awarness is a bigger problem for me than for your average Joe (Jennings). For instance sometimes when I'm in bed on my back with a blanket over the legs I feel my feet inverted (pointing downwards instead of up). It's not something un-curable but it just takes more practice to get the leg awarness. It will help if I'll have a mirror in the tunnel to see my legs. Regards, Jean-Arthur Deda. Ironically, if you jump the PdF rig you'll making them publicity Bigway, I've never thought about "flexible" the way you've use it. I've always thought about being flexible with respect to myself a.k.a. my goals (and I expected everyone to be the same) but I see now that he was flexible with PdF. He was less flexible with himself. I love life, there are so many ways you can look at it Can I get a t-shirt too? Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls! -

When I've said "I would avoid doing business with" I've meant a more personal type of business like: Imagine that a guy(2 jumps, 18 years old) wants me to make him a new helmet + camera box for a bogus camera he loves + a paint job and he has no idea what he wants and mostly what he wants is not good. He wants a helmet like that spartans had -and I know it's full of snag points - with a flashy metalic pinky color that I know it gets detached when the wind blows. If he's un-flexible it will mean Sorry I can't help you the man or worse some other smack will do it for him and he'll get in trouble. Being flexible is his best chance to get real good products. This is why I like to avoid as much as possible doing business with un-flexible guys even if those people are honest ... and I'm flexible and honest on this one. Besides, a bit of flexibility on his side would have kept him out of this bad experience with PdF. This is not the 1st time in his life that he sees the concept of misrepresentation. Misrepresentation had existed since the 1st deal ever(when zebra bitches were getting wild porcupine urine as magic love potions) it exists now and it will exist as long as we exists. Getting stuck on false promises is an unhealthy habit. Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls! -

I think I get crash. Its all or nothing. Its about "not saddling for the smaller evil and getting what you wanted the way it was promised". I think he doesn't want PdF to make thing better he just want to get back on them because they didn't deliver what they agreed uppon. The only way PdF could make thing better if they build a time-machine and fix this after 3 moths of waiting. All this makes sense because he throws more mud than needed for a rig and on people that don't deserve it. Ironically everything would have been great (in all directions) if he would have taken his business somewhere else when he discovered he's in for a "ride" with PdF. Some people get stuck in promises. I agree with what you've said and I would avoid as much as possible doing business with un-flexible people. Crash, I recommend these things for you: http://img376.imageshack.us/img376/6334/artoflettinggo1cd.png http://www.marijuanagrinder.com/weed-grinder.jpg http://collegeotr.s3.amazonaws.com/images/blogs/5f5e3f3a747bd047d352a1d0ffa1a6c9.jpg if this experience, over the years, becomes a recurring theme for you, then know that I was right about you getting stuck in peoples promises -

Bro, cool idea, I mean what goes around comes around but you should probably remove bad generalizations like "We French are very cunning!" and "American Imperialist Swine", etc, etc. Those generalizations will make you look bad! Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls! -
Dear Doctor Bordson, Is it true that if we were all vegetarians we wouldn't get the animal flues (pig flu, chicken flu)? ...and... should there be a platypus flu? ... and, and, and ... Should we give a different type of flu back to the animals just to show them how we feel? Thank you! Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls!

Just another data sample in the 7 cells frenzy I had biffed only one landing out of around 100 jumps on my Spectre due to the noob cross wind reaching thingy (a.k.a. the last second wind gust ) All the others have been stand up. I've done downwind, nowind, cross wind, flare turns, landings in really really tight spots and more. I LOVE ZEE SPECTRE. Its a versatile tool that will help you discovering new and interresting things(back risers, front rises, combinations of those with toggles and yourself feeling the wing). The Flare is powerfull and you can easily pop-up if you go too fast. Back risers landings are not chalanging at 1:1 WL. 1st jump on it got it stand up. 1st cross wind got it biffed 1st reserve ride after Spectre experience was a stand up. Now, I'm trying 9 cellz just to see the other side! Regards, Jean-Arthur Deda. Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls!

I totally agree with what you're saying. I think at the bottom, the problem is that people are doing things for the wrong reasons and that's what we should tackle. It's the Monkey see monkey do syndrome! People doing things for the wrong reason is a trend seen in every aspect of life. People get married have kids discover that they can't stand each other, stay together to make the kids life miserable by not showing any love towards eachother and all this because in the beginning being and dating that type of guy/girl was groovy/cool/hip thing to do. Swooping is another example. On every the DZ I've been (in my limited experience, I hope) it seemed that a good/appreciated pilot is someone who can swoop a small canopy. Someone discover that swooping thingy and now that's the only appreciated next level(progression/direction) for canopy control. I'm pretty sure that there are more cool stuff we can do with our canopies but if we keep being monkeys we'll never discover those thingies. My .02$ (Canadian Cents ), Jean-Arthur Deda. I did 20 min so far. This thing is better and more addictive than cocaine! It feels so good that I'm considering during only hop&pops from the plain and use the tunnel for free fall. On the long run I think I'm saving money and time! Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls!

I'm really sorry for answering your question. Maybe you're having a bad day and I felt in your rhetorical questions trap. Consider that some rhetorical questions like "Is the sky blue?" contains the proper answer in them. Others like "Why don't you know this?" are designed to make people feel bad a lot more than teaching the right way of doing things. 3 + 1 is how I was taught to pack and it looks that I'm not the only one. Anyway, Blue skies. Lock, Dock and Two Smoking Barrelrolls!
