Skydiving is extreme? Skydiving is the most tranquil sport that connects mind and body. Like yoga. My other ride is the relative wind.

But I had to swing by Kapowsin to make at least one warm up jump. Mainly for confidence. Launched a 3 way out of a C-182 from 9500. Turned 5 points on a zipper. The most points I've ever done. I hope I'll have the pleasure of jumping with you during the Summer Solstice Boogie. I'll be safe, and I hope that you do too.

Yeap! My girlfriend and I got ourselves a new eMac and it's on it's way. Can't wait to hook up the video converter and digitize our videos. This thing is going to replace 3 systems we have at home. That 'puter room is going to be quieter and cooler now.

I guess I was asking for it. My plan of course is to stay alive and in the event that the needle sticks, I'm gonna dump whether or not I see anybody else open. So basically - when I see an open parachute it means that I should have been under canopy too.

Boy is that a tough one. I'd give up skydiving in front of my girl, and sneak a jump or two whenever I get the chance. On the other hand, I'd start thinking of skydiving and pretend we're doing RW while we're doing the nasty - she headdown, me sitfly.

I'm getting a custom one-piece-tuxedo RW for my wedding. My girlfriend says no. But that was before her tandem. Now she's thinking of doing FJC. I hope she changes her decision.

I took my girlfriend and her mom to do their first tandem on Mother's Day. As the days got closer, at least my girlfriend was getting anxious; don't know about her mom - she hardly had any facial expression. I've promised to be on the same load so I could geek her. When they finally landed, they both had perma-grins. And they're still grinnin'. Since then, they've been thinking about skydiving. And they still have 6 months from that day to decide if they want to do the FJC and get a discount from having done the tandem. Only problem is, her mom's faulting me for the bug and insists that I chip in to her training fund. And my girlfriend seconded that and wants the same.

And I hope it starts moving after descend past 17,000. I'll be going to Alaska for the Summer boogie. First DZ outside of my home DZ and I'm not going to be familar. I've only got one alti. so my backup plan is to dump on the first sight of an open parachute. Or better yet - jump with other people and do some 2+ ways.

I'm wondering if my Altimaster III will be damaged by taking it up to 24,000 ft. It's not the Stratosphere model, and it doesn't say Galaxy on it, but it's one with a user replaceable lense. Any comments?

That must've scared all the fish! Last Friday's jump of the day was an intentional water landing I chose to do as part of the water training requirement for my B license. Just the sight of 4 skydivers over the lake drew a few WOWs from the residents. But fuel tanks from an F-16. Oooh.

So there I was watching the Iron Chef when I flipped channels and there was the Miss Universe peagent. Did anybody watch that? This is the first time I've seen them wear bikinis for the swimsuit contest. Hmm... wonder if they'll introduce a wet t-shirt contest in the future...
