  5. The only thing talked about was how I liked the sixth guy flying over my burble and bouncing off me. I didn't even remember that happening. I guess because the jump was a success we talked about the good and funny parts. Had it not been for this post, I probably would have forgotten. Now this will be something to keep in mind in all skydives.
  6. Posted on Talkback and posting it here for relavence: Never used tube-stows because bubber rands are cheaper. Funny thing about bag locks, I experienced one on my sub 10 freefalls. Also from a hop-n-pop. The chute finally deployed on it's own, so I guess it might have to do with deploying at sub-terminal. Now the rubber bands on them student rigs were the black kind. The DZ recently switched to the yellow kind because the black kind doesn't break as easily after certain stretch length, thus causing bag locks. You might also want to check you pilot chute. I imagine that if F111 canopies loose their ZP-ness, I'm sure the same applied to F111 PCs. Your best source of info I think would be from your rigger.

  11. That's why I'm sticking with a 170. If I need more performance, I'll gain weight. I need a more forgiving chute, I'll lose some. No need to buy a new chute that way. Save the cash to buy more jumps.

'Coz I was the center guy in an open accordian with 3 guys behind me (one on each leg, and the third grabbing on to each of the other 2 guy's legs) ,and 3 guys in front of me (one on each arm, and the 3rd guy between the 2). It's one of them dirt dive in the plane kinda jumps. I know it's bad and there's no excuse and I promise I'll never do it again.

Off the FF topic since the only time I freefly is when I'm unstable this is what I did over the weekend, so please tell me if I did the right thing: It started out as a 7way and I don't recall an agreement on the breakoff. At 4500 my dytter went off. Instead of turning around to track away, I let go of my grips and waited till everyone who's hanging on to me let go. Then as I turned to track off, I see 3 other people above me and I'm in a pretty tight spot for horizontal seperation. So I stopped my track and waited for the 2nd beep (at 3000). Still I made sure that no one was above me by looking over my shoulders before waving off and pulling. I know that one should always track away before deploying. But in this case, I stopped my track to let others track away from me because of my position. Is this cool?

  16. To bringing a case this weekend. Spinning off the USPA licences thread, I looked up Rising Fallers in the latest Parachutist, and I was 1 number short of being listed for the B. Beer money saved = get an extra jump. YES!!!
