I wanted to know how much does the average Iraqi buy into the islam/jihad thing? Get your MOS as a firefighter in the active or guard. After that, maintain a firefighter position in the guard. Those in the military have the national ratings and career experience that local gov'ts are looking for. Also, in Baltimore County, guard and reserves are given hiring preference. The SCOTUS has repeatedly supported the separation of church and state as mandated by the first amendment. The landmark case that established the boundary that the sate may not cross was Lemon v. Kurtzman, 1971. In it, the court stated the boundaries as follows: "First, the statute must have a secular legislative purpose; second, its principle or primary effect must be one that neither advances nor inhibits religion (citation omitted); finally, the statute must not foster "an excessive government entanglement with religion." I never got the chance to get my mother to the DZ(Dad was already gone by the time I started jumping). The closest I came was to get one of my Aunt and Uncle to came and watch for a while. You would think that I was asking them to watch my execution. I had to practically bribe them top get there. But once they saw us landing and the antics under canopy, they thought it was very cool.
