Your friend probably did not black out. Reports so far indicate that he was flat and stable all the way in. Unconscious people in freefall don't go in that way. They tend to, at the very least, spin and tumble. What likely happened to your friend was that something distracted him and he lost altitude awareness. This is a known phenomenon in skydiving. I'm looking to get a song on Itunes. I thought the title was "no Sugar", but that is obviously not it. The tune dates from the late 60's and is a staple on the classic rick stations here in Baltimore. Here are some snippets of the lyrics: (chorus): "No sugar tonight in my coffee No sugar tonight in my tea.." "There's a new mother nature taking over.." Can anyone help with this? How much do riggers usually charge to install a cypress?

I'm going to assume that the rig is CYPRESS ready. If so, and the reserve needs to be packed anyway, I don't charge extra for the install. If the rig is not CYPRESS ready, then there will be extra charges involved. Depending on the brand of rig and how much sewing needs to be done, it could be substantial. I last jumped a C-4 at the Herd Boogie in 89. I'd love to jump a turbine 'Bo. I'd even travel to do it. I think, however, that such a plane would do better on the boogie circuit than at a single DZ.
