  1. Disappointing. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  2. This isn't the first time I heard of this. There was a story on NPR recently on the subject. They talked about a transplant candidate in Maine possibly? They booted the guy off the list and told him to come back in 3 years, at which point they will probably boot him off again. If he was consuming a prescribed mountain of oxys he probably wouldn't have been given a second glance. "as these substances are contraindicated for a transplant" I think that is a pretty broad standard and leaves way to much opportunity for individual doctors to play god. Show me medical evidence that a marijuana user is at a statistically significant higher chance of rejection, or future organ damage. 3. Sure, 450 in 2008 when you could still get smoking deals on brand new smarts and the like. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  4. Don't expect your gadget to take off with a jackass attitude like that! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  5. Wow, we are taking down these spam bots at lightening speed. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  6. Knock yourself out, but anyone who uses this is a jackass if they have a tandem passenger along with you. There is no reason to add snags to a tandem when there are better options readily available. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  7. Gusty winds, check. Lousy catchers, check. FFS, grab the toggle and run with it! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  8. Yeah they are a pretty penny, but boy are they nice. I may end up using another setup for the video, and keeping the still camera on the RRS clamp, when I get around to setting up a wider top plate. The X-Shut mounts looks pretty nice, and would be better since the CX760 will go in a box so it doesn't make sense to have the box raised up on the RRS clamp. 9. Thanks JJ and Phree. JJ I have the lever style clamp. If I was looking at the back of the clamp, with the lever in front my style has the lever swing and close to the left to lock the assembly. I was hoping there was a way to reverse the direction the lever swung to close. I dug further through the Q&A on their website, and RRS has anwsered similar questions and told users that it is not possible to change the direct that the lever is orientated. I guess you could push the press pin out, flip the unit, and press a new press pin back in. I am a hesistant to say the least, especially with 2k+ worth of camera body and glass on the top! It is a moot point right now. My dz is only using GoPro footage for outside video so I only mounted my A7II on top with my RRS mount. After mocking it up a number of times I think I need a wider top plate to get both the cx760 and the A7II up top on the Flat Top without having a good deal of camera sticking out on either side. 10. I second that. Chris is awesome, and his pivot pad handicam gloves are excellent. My double GoPro 3+ glove is top notch, and I like having access to all of the buttons on the camera. I never liked having to use one-button like you have to with the other gloves. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  11. I know there are a few of you with these clamps. I have been using them since I started flying cameras, love them. Trying to get my CX760 and A7II both on top of my FTP using two of these clamps, but I need to change the direction that the lever opens and closes on one of the clamps. I thought this was possible, but I am striking out on the RRS website, and the information that came with the clamps was gone about 6 years ago. Is this possible without sending the clamp back to RRS? "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  12. They are just covering their asses. Get the line set modified to the proper trim and jump it. You said it flew well prior to installing the Safire 2 lineset on the Safire canopy. There is no reason to think that it won't go back to flying well with the proper lineset. If it doesn't have any structural issues like blown out cross ports or torn ribs it should go back to normal. 13. I need to add a Go Pro 3+ in addition to my current setup. It is going to be sporting a bigger footprint with a turned-on on the back. I see that Trunk has a long tbar type mount that I can just mount on the front of the FTP. Is there any slicker setups using cages or housings? If there was a cam eye type button, or I used the Wi-Fi remotes, it could be slick to sink this thing into the helmet to make it a flusher mount. May also just stick it on top, we are just now getting back to outside video. Our editor is used to Go Pro footage and that's what all the other setups are running. I won't likely be using any cx760 footage for work jumps. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  14. I have had spectra and dacron lined Aerodyne pilots. Neither has ever given me a hard opening. They have a nice gradual opening and a long snivel. I would say the the snatch force and opening shock remains consistent through out the opening. My second rig currently has a Dacron Pilot 140 in it. 15. Replace the batteries, and use the school altimeter until you are current. You shouldn't need any service, you just have to verify it later when you are back up to speed, or have someone else test it out for you. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  16. Love mine. Unfortunately they have been out of stock on the A7II L-bracket that I need for about a month now. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  17. The majority of the increase of insured was for putting able bodied individual on medicaid. Yes if you give out free insurance, the amount of insured will rise. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  18. "Even in winning, the company should seriously consider investing further in its planes to equip them in such a way that they would make less noise. Other than drastically reducing the number of flights and jumps, this is the one concrete suggestion that has been made for possibly improving the situation." Yes maybe they can swap out the turbine engines for ION drives. The author had a pretty reasonable stance up until that point. AirBnB

I have had mostly good experiences. Spend time reading the reviews that other guest leave, that helps weed out places you may not want to stay. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  20. The base "skyhook" video had slider down base canopies. If you want to plan your emergency procedures around that example I would think twice. A cutaway that low is a pretty sure way to die. I would take a collapsed or spinning main over a reserve not yet flying any day. It is still going to give you more drag and more of a chance that going back to practically nothing. Besides the real question is cutaway under 50 feet, because you are going to be much further down the gravity earth food chain by the time you respond to your hypothesized collapse. Sigma merits

USPA has partnered with them in some capacity. Here was an email I got from USPA back in January: "As mentioned in the December "USPA Update" e-newsletter, USPA is partnering with Sigma, an online platform for certifications and achievements, to enable members to securely access their USPA credentials easily from their phones or desktop computers. In the coming weeks, members will receive an email from Sigma to claim their profiles. If you do not want to participate in digital credentials, you do not need to accept the invitation, or you can opt out here prior to January 12. Sigma will update profiles daily with all new and renewed USPA credentials. USPA credential changes will be reflected in your Sigma profile within 24-48 hours. Expired and suspended credentials will be displayed but flagged to indicate the expiration or suspension. Also in the works is a digital USPA membership card that can be easily displayed on a smartphone. Over the next six months, USPA will gauge member reaction to determine the feasibility of offering digital credentials as an optional alternative to the plastic membership card. If you are having trouble getting started, here is a Sigma tutorial for desktop or phone. For all other questions, please contact help@thesigma.co" "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    Prison penpals?

It is a shame and a waste that we lock up addicts in this country. They need treatment not punishment. Our war on drugs destroys lives and costs untold sums of money. Has your sister looked into any educational correspondent courses? Maybe she can take this time to better herself for when she gets out. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  23. Did you check their website? Did you call them? Are you able to take any steps to figure out the answer to a questions you have on your own without asking someone to give you the answer? I have answers to your other questions, but I won't reward bad behavior. Start doing some homework! "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  24. My Altitrack battery lasts me a whole season or more. And guess what, that has no bearing on your completely different altimeter. If you are going to try to get us to spoon feed you information like a baby bird at least give us a more specific title to your thread, and maybe try adding some structure to your actual question. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
  25. I can't click the link at work, but I am guessing that they are using pro-tune, lots of post processing, and are also using a gimbal or a steady cam to reduce shake and give smooth pans and movement. The OP isn't shooting skydiving footage, I don't even think he has a license yet. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P
