    I think another negative is that by unstowing the brakes you just increased the speed of the parachute while you are tending to other tasks. You have 3000 jumps so with your developed level of awareness this is OK, but for other jumpers I think slower closing speed is best when they are taking off booties, messing with the slider, etc. When the canopy has your full attention then let it loose.     Well cash is King, but I think it is kind of tacky to give your friends and family cash. Bake them some brownies, or bring soda, or bring something for the grill.     I have the whole spanish series, just no time to practice it. The CPA exam comes first, and I haven't even found time to study for that soooooooo...     My friend Matt from Canada has the same exact rig as me. Some one had two custom colored Icon's built, sharpie markered them #1 and #2, and later sold them. We both purchased them without knowing each other, infact we might have been the third resale in the whole chain. Small world lol.     If your pilot chute reaches full extension, and it tows for some time before pulling your pin then it is a PCIT. Bill Booth and company must be putting on that velcro on their bridles to save money. It is a good thing that we have internet heros like you to straighten them out. Besides what do you care Gabor, you should worry about staying current first. "The restraining order says you're only allowed to touch me in freefall" =P

    You can also cause a PCIT if you don't leave enough slack in the bridle one either side of the pin. I have seen that cause major hesitation where the jumper wasn't leaving any slack and was tucking the bridle in real tight on both sides. Some rigs have velcro to remind you to leave som slack.

    While I am not the biggest fan of letting cats roam, I really hope he comes home soon. I am sure he is fine, he is probably walking on cars and damadging personal property like my neighbors cat. When he is bored he will come home, or he will break into my apartment and run amok. I will return him back to you in that event.     I can't comment at all on your canopy skill, no one on here can. We don't know your background, haven't seen you fly, and haven't seen you progress. However the fact that you a worried about this decision, and are asking about it on the internet, maybe that is telling you something.

    I dunno if he is happy, but I am pissed. We get a crappy new england weekend, and you get nice california sunshine. Completely unacceptable. In order to be forgiven you have to come out tonight and go to the court house. I am DD'ing, and no that doesn't stand for drunk driving, so I can pick you up. No excuses.
