  1. That massive thing is a weapon! He looked like Bling Daddy Bling, but damned lucky he didn't hurt himself or someone else with it. It weighed at least 3lbs.
  2. World's Fastest Reserve Packjob! is now online for your viewing pleasure.
  3. Betty, Come out early. We'll work on the dive flow and you can take some self-time to work on it. I'm glad you recognize that your own sense of "success or not" is a stressor for you. You remember the three rules of a "fail"....right? If you kill me or you on this jump.... BTW, bring your sword! I'd like to see it!
  4. I was just about to PM you and ask about this... damn! I heard Mike G got schooled... I did shoot the final round...Margaret vs Mike. Mike got schooled, but he was ahead at one point...then Margaret put her teeny lil' hand into the PC and pulled the loop through. Mike was using a shotgun rod and that slowed him substantially by comparison. I'm editing the rodeo video right now. It'll be up by morning, but it's around 20 mins long.
  5. So they guy slipped and mistakenly said the wrong date, you never ever done it? Your sarcasm is really great though, high five to you for your brilliant discovery Folks tend to get nervous in front of a camera, and Ted is always nervous when the light is on. Easy to forgive his slip. We've edited out much worse.
  6. It was really fun doing these interviews, the last of them are being uploaded now. This year was MUCH busier than last year, so a few booths didn't get interviewed. Apologies if your company didn't. My favorite interview has to be the one with Jeffro, he's always a blast. it was terrific to see Shannon Pilcher walking around and presenting. MANY great presentations from greats in the sport. There were some super sweet new and improved products there. If I was forced to pick my fave things in the show, it would have to be the M2 AAD distributed by Alti2, the new "Lil' Black Rig" from Rigging Innovations, some of L&B's really unique and clever mounts, seeing Colonel Joe Kittenger again, the UPT lunch...hmmmm...that's about the best of it. We didn't shoot the Riggers Rodeo, but it was pretty fun to watch. If you weren't here, you missed out but hopefully these videos help bring the show a little closer to home for you. Thanks for watching.
  7. The folks from FYB are here walking the show, shaking babies, and kissing hands. No one from any other company is here. Scotty Burns just walked in, so I expect the show to get really colorful tomorrow.
  8. It's going very well. Tonysuits doesn't have their crap here, just PF has their suits, and I've been asked to not post video of the models I'm showing here because the Vampire 4 and the Venom are both prototypes, not production models. But...they're here. Lotsa wingsuit interest, too. And the PF air fresheners are a big hit.
  9. John does have a point...visual altimeters are great learning tools, audibles are not. The OP might wish to consider waiting for a while, using a blend of eyes and traditional alti to learn what altitudes look like before moving to an audible.
  10. I was gonna plunk down for CYPRES 2's as well (need two new AADs for student rigs). But...I'm *really* glad to see these M2's. they have a decade + of testing in military applications, so I like that, too. So....now am on the fence. Going back to talk to Roger more today about waterproof, etc.
  11. you'll see an interview with Roger and Sandy on the PIA channel. Should be up shortly. IMO, this is "best of show." 15,000 hours or 15,000 jumps before maintenance of any kind. 999.00 retail. Several algorithms, easy menus, offsets of up to 2995', user-replaceable cutter. CYPRES just might have a run for their money.
  12. Hadn't thought about that...good point. But I don't have any green More vids went up this a.m. We'd be putting em' up faster, but the PIA and Silver Legacy internet simply sucks. Two cheers for Verizon and my Droid as a tether. It's much faster. If you like the vids, please let the manufacturers and PIA know.
  13. According to Sony, the drive parks when a card is selected.
  14. The NeoXs is a great lil' audible, damn near indestructible. And LOUD! L&B Optima is my fave; I use the HypEye connector to get a light alert as well as the audible alert. The L&B Solo is terrific if cash is an issue. If I could only buy one...I'd buy the L&B Optima.
  15. If he was coming to S'nore (where most of the wingsuiting is...) he'd have a rig at his disposal.
  16. Jesus Christ on a popsicle stick. All of the suits out there have been pretty good for/with each other. Anyone who feels that one manufacturer hasn't liberally "been inspired" by one manufacturer or another is a moronic twatmuppet. Robi, Chuck, Zun, Giselle, Loic and Tony have all brought really great things to the wingsuiting world. There are only so many angles you can put around the human body and so many different ways to support, inflate, deflate, and fold up those angles. Why is it that some of you have to take what's a pretty nice offering to the wingsuit world and turn it into a "my cock was longer before your cock" conversation? Why is it that the XS changed so drastically when Tony's #1 guy was caught redhanded taking photos of a prototype Vampire during the RedBull training in Sebastian? Why is it that you give credit to one manufacturer for over-shoulder zips when neither manufacturer is taking credit (because that came from someone else)? Or the FnD event where Robi was heard calling out to Tony "Should I just sent you the drawings/plans?" And then they both had a laugh about it. If the guys that design these suits can laugh at themselves, why can't you? Many innovations come from "man on the street" folks and not the manufacturers themselves. Who implements what doesn't mean they invented it. Doesn't mean they're not giving credit. And it doesn't mean they're stealing. It just means they're moving forward with their own improvements on existing features and new products. Coming from a guy who has four Birdman suits, 13 TonySuits, one Sfly, and roughly 25 PF suits in my stable...this shit is funny, tragic, and pathetic all in the same breath. They're just wingsuits. If you want something to bitch about, bitch about the politics and backroom tom-fuckery that "charities" are pulling on our community. Bitch about "record" events that put 30-jump wingsuiters into a position to damage someone's jaw, camera, helmet due to lack of skill. Bitch about safety issues. Bitch about stuff that actually matters. It's PIA. It's new tools in our sport. It's fun. It's more opportunity to improve what we do.
  17. Common knowledge that Elsinore has the hottest staff and community. Don't you read Parachutist or Blue Skies Magazine?
  18. First PIA vids are up Interview with John LeBlanc and Al Berchtold. many more to come. Les from Aerodyne
  19. We're cutting video from the PIA day right now. Vids should be up on the VASSTTraining page at Youtube later this evening.
  20. I'm glad you understand my point, even if you disagree. Video, photos. and input from folks like John LeBlanc, Bill Booth, and several others support what I've said. I won't call it conclusive, but certainly a point of consideration.
  21. It doesn't make you look dumb, you're simply expressing some of the same things that others have gone through. People look forward to seeing your smile at the DZ. You have some of the best instructors out there on your side. If you're gonna look at the young hotness that's on the DZ, then be sure to look at the older crowd too, because it's about equally divided.... See ya this weekend!!
  22. you truly think you are of equal strength in both arms? Not likely.
  23. You can pitch your body to one side if you generate a greater intertia on one side over the other.
