I looked around for a part # but i'm guessing if you dont talk to a camera repair shop you not going to find it on the web. The epoxy has held up well. Still going strong and hasnt broken loose 'yet'. Thats all good if you want to jump a box. I don't jump a box. It was just to bring attention if you use a screw mount the you need to be careful. The boxes cost about as much as the camera and in 6 months there will be another better/greater camera that will not fit in the box. So now I'm stuck with a $200 box that is useless. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN MOUNTING SCREW! So Sat I was putting the base plate (flat lock. No box) on my camera, tightened it too hard (I really didn't put that much pressure on it)and the mount on the camera snapped. Now all i could do was make it snug. had to keep it from spinning by using gaffers tape. Got through the weekend and took it apart to see how I could fix it. Thought about a box, but it also uses the mount to secure it. and they are $195!! I got the mount back where it is supposed to be and used epoxy on it. It seems to be holding, but I don't want to put too much pressure on it until it's full cured. I'm hoping to jump tomorrow and see how it works. Once the cover is off it makes it real easy to take off the hand strap. Unlike some other Sony's that you had to cut them off. This is a nice bonus. The little Polish girl I took in Chicago. Spent a lot of time in Pahokee! Ghetto doesn't ever begin to describe it. They do 'grow' a bunch of NFL players there. And you get 2 sunsets. one on the lake and the other on the Gulf.
