Financially and reality are 2 different things. If you think you can run a dz with just fun jumpers and break even (unless you are running your plane at night running cargo. What ever "cargo" pays the bills) you obviously have never been on the paying end of plane maintenance and fuel costs. What about adding a piece of carbon fiber on the inside? I don't have any experience with it but it could work. by saying that I mean using cf cloth and the resin, not a piece already cured. I tried to epoxy the mount once it had broken lose, it worked for a little bit. Maybe try to solder it back in place and add some sort of reinforcement. It was mounted to a flat lock bracket. the tripod mount is just a nut fused between 2 pieces of plastic! made very cheaply. This is the last pic i took of it. Well the epoxy held for a bit but failed yesterday (friday the 13th!) I was talking to Sony before the jump and trying to buy the new plate for the camera. Which they sent me the wrong diagram!! (fucking customer service!) So any way if you strip out the tri pod mount you will prob lose your camera. It was a good opening and went up to shut off the camera and all i had was empty space. Very expensive skydive. When I get the correct part number I will post it.
