I'm at 1 jump a day for the last 13yrs.(thats when I started jumping) Most I did was 850(+/- a few) in '02. How else does anyone get practice shooting tandem videos other >than paying their own slot and filming some? >1) Get to know TM outside of the school; do a few jumps with him so he's familiar with your flying skills. Like Dave said get proficient at filming RW groups. not just above them, but below and off to the side much like a tandem vid wold be. (but let the rw group know what you are doing) and I wouldn't do that until you safely fly the normal RW slot >2) Do a few jumps with him while he is doing tandems without camera. Definately! If you have never flown with a tandem, don't go out with one with cameras on to "see" how you do! It is NOT just another skydive! >3) Do a few jumps with him _with_ camera and evaluate the result. Make sure it is one of the more experienced TM's at the dz. If you are a novice vidiot and they are a novice TM not a good scenario. Scott, I didn't get a chance yesterday to post it. I used the L-bracket the FTP came with to mount the flash. The other L-bracket I had made a few years ago and just mounted the flash bracket to that. so far so good. p.s. don't ask about all the gaffers tape. Had that problem when i first got it. took the plate off and used epoxy to fix it. havent had a problem since! 7 screws hold on that plate, super easy to fix. No problems. Just the door a little lose. I usually try to keep a back up camera if possible, but with these it seems like the only problem would be my fucking it up. Doing something stupid (dropping it, hitting it etc) or losing a helmet. So I will hold off on a back up. Has anyone had problems with their CX 100? It seems since there are no moving parts that problems would be few and far between.
