0:8:0 6-4 way competition jumps, one tandem video and 1 4 way. I think I screwed up my shoulder slightly on one of the comp jumps on Saturday so I took it easy the rest of the weekend, and watch jealously as we put up three 8 way 182-formation loads on Sunday evening.

*Sigh* The great thing about reality shows is that they aren't reality shows. If I really wanted to watch a reality, I'd watch home movies of my family. They are fun to watch because the people on them act like its reality, but in reality, its not reality. And that's what makes reality shows sometimes more fun than watching fictional show...watching people more delusional than myself. That's right...sometimes its all about me.

Ah, you beat me to it (thanks to Internet Explorer jamming up). Julien, about 500 skydives, from San Diego. There's also a pilot (also a good atribute) Just when I said I wasn't going to get sucked in for another cycle they done gone and put a skydiver on there...

0:17:1 All at the P3 100 Way Camp and all but one from over 16,000' AGL. I would like to have owed two cases of beer, one for my first 100 way completion but it was down to the last jump of the day and the formation was aborted on jump run and all but 5 of us landed with the planes. Beer owed for wearing lead for the first time. And this concludes my 12 day vacation to Perris. Sitting at the airport waiting for my fight back to reality.

Was Captain Kirk not flying his canopy "effeciently". When Todd talked about canopy control, it was usually about effeciency and how to fly your canopy in the most effecient manner. "You paid for the whole thing, you might as well use it all." Thanks for the stories Eric. He was definitely one of a kind.

A few of the two ways that instructors did with me when I was a student that I now do with my students are: Round, Compressed, Round, and then a Compressed on the other side. And one of my favorite ones is I just fall stationary, and have them dock on me, then sidebody me, then cat me, then sidebody on the otherside and back to a round. It lets them fly a lot. You can make it harder by adjusting your fallrate or side slide a little bit to get them to have to fly forward a little bit. But I always make sure to let the students know that I'm going to make it more difficult so they don't get frustrated in the air because they think they are doing a bad job.

0:20:Lost Track 18 jumps at the P3 Big Way Camp and 2 fun jumps. Three days until the 100 Way Camp. Now I'm off to go take a nap...

I'm struggling with a jumper in a similar situation right now... This jumper is now jumping a Katana 97 with 340 jumps in 3 years (that's 113 jumps a year) at a WL of 1.47...acoording to his profile. Could it be there that there are some that are "untouchables"?

Audible and wrist mount altimeter setup?

I have a Galaxy and a Pro-Track. -
What about: EFS 247

You could always freefly the exit, and where ever you ended up on the frist point is your slot. You literally wouldn't know until you got there. Just make one person the "Center" of the skydive. We jump 182's at my dz and we've toyed with the idea that the chase plane would just get to the first slot they could get to, and so you wouldn't know when exactly what you were doing until you got to your slot. Of course me and my skydiving twin, Jamie, have also thought about changing jumpsuits in the chase plane, and then fly our slots to see if anyone gets confused. One of these days!!!

DQ--Make sure to remind Bauer to have a good time as I plan on continuing my evil plan to spoil the big black dog. "Tracker, you want to sleep on the bed? Go right ahead!" "Tracker, you want a SoCo 7? How strong do you want it?" Bwahahahahha

If i was a tandem passenger with the person above me ...

A chunky altimeter or an aqua bouy? -
0:11:Maybe 1 Some 2 ways, 3 ways, 4 ways (including being on Mary Bauer's 15,000th), jump mastered a few s/l students, a tandem for a jumper that's working on his TI rating and 8 way formation load for my 600th (hence the maybe beer owed)

Not all dzo's are the administrators of the dz info on dz.com. I would hope that the adminstrators of the dz info on dz.com would care enough to make sure all info is correct. With that being said, I'm off to make sure that all of my dz's info is correct.

I was waiting for your post all day!! Todd and his stupid Star Wars books. The first time I went back to the hanger apartment after he died, there was a Star Wars book in the bed, on the right side of the pillows. Right where Todd had left it either that morning or before he went to work the night before. It took me over two months to take that book off the bed, and its gotten as far as to make it onto the floor, page still marked. One of the few joint purchases that Todd and I had was our "boogie set up". I bought the tent. Todd bought the air matress. Together we had our "Perfect (and cheapest) Accomodations" for any boogie or skydiving trip. I had to talk Todd into buying the $27 air matress, with a full cost anaylsis, and when he still said no, I threatened him of having to find a tent of his own to sleep in...alone. He was a thrifty bastard, and I loved him for it. 8 months...and I still want to pick up the phone and call him!

I have about 400 of my jumps have been on Silhouettes (190, 170 and 150). I absolutely loved the Silhouette, but got when I got bought my 150, I started loading it a little too much and wasn't get as much flare that I would like to have in a canopy. I loved the way they packed, I loved the way they opened, I loved the way they flew and with the exepction of the 150, I loved the way they landed. At a 1:1 WL that you posted, you'll get more than enough flare out of it. Once you get to the 1.3-1.5, you'll definitely want to start looking at a full ZP canopy. IMO, it is truely the most under-credited for PD canopies. I can't believe that its not more popular. I think if they advertised it as "slightly eliptical", it would sell like hot cakes. I think the cool factor of the slighly eliptical Sabre2 has really taken the wind away from the Silouette.

Tom Stewart lives in Burnsville, jumps at Wissota. Let me know if you want his contact info. And as Team Flew-Id already did, come see us at Wissota!

0:5:0 Three 3 ways, one 4 way, and a HNP. The summer gloves came out this weekend and the Under Armore got pushed to the back of my locker. I hope I get to keep it there until next fall!!

High Maintenance Bitch Shocker In New Jersey

I would like to say that I support a women's right to choose If she wants to keep it, fine. If she wants to get rid of it fine. Who am I to judge? -
Consistently Fast opening modern canopies- Your list
wildfan75 replied to LongWayToFall's topic in Gear and Rigging
I think I may be in the same boat as you. Those "beautiful openings" everyone talks about, to me they are way too slow. When people complain about a way too fast of an opening canopy, it usually tweeks my ear and I listen intently about that canopy. The majority of my jumps have been on Silhouettes. I really liked the openings. I started to get up to a wing loading on the Silhouette 150 that I wasn't getting a very good flare out of it (and it was a canopy with less than 100 jumps so it wasn't a ragged out POS). I demo'd a few things, including the (insert Heavenly music here) Sabre2. I hated the Sabre2's openings. I just don't feel the need to have time to pull, check my air space, check the spot, take off my booties and then watch my slider come all the way down. Ok, I may be exturating slightly, but you get my point. Same thing with the Spectre and Saphire. I then started thing about finding a Sabre1. I figured if everyone thinks that the Sabre2's openings are sweet, then maybe the Sabre1's openings aren't as bad as everyone says they are. By an act of God, a Sabre1 150 in my neon pink and royal blue with about 50 jumps on it showed up at my dz one day. Some jumper had bought a rig to piece sell it out. I took the precautionary measures of doing all the tricks to slow down openings just in case and started jumping it. My conclusion...I wouldn't be surprised if the jumper who had that canopy before only put those few jumps on it because he got smacked one too many times. That particular Sabre1 150 was "one of those" Sabre1's. I had my rigger put a pocket on the slider. With the pocket I don't need to do any more "slow 'er down" techniques while packing. If I do, it gets to snively for me. They are great openings now!! I'm eager to try the Pulse, but curious on how the Optimum fabric will hold up over time. Maybe try a Lightning. I hear they have fast openings -
Weight Change Affecting Freefall
wildfan75 replied to PeregrineFalcon's topic in General Skydiving Discussions
Plus you just took off "30lbs of lead" and if you're jumping the same suit, essentially jumped a baggier suit, adding more drag. Assuming the 30lbs was a good and healthy thing...CONGRATS ON THE WEIGHT LOSS!!!! -
I found a Sabre1 that had to have less than 50 jumps on it last summer. Lines were completely white with no wear, warning label was in perfect condition and it was one mutha f*ckin' slippery piece o' shit to pack! But chance are pretty slim. I got lucky (especially since it was my exact color scheme (neon pink and royal blue). It was the skydiving God's!!)
