  1. What were his dying words?
  2. Isn't it a lie that man does not have the moral fortitude to forego the fleeting pleasure of an illicit sexual encounter? Here's the irony. The liberals of this world, for years, have promoted a laissez faire attitude toward sexual responsibility. We're a new generation. We practice sexual freedom, blah, blah, blah..... Now that things have run their course, and we are paying the price for our own stupidity, we still want someone else to fix the problem. The problem is, that we don't really want it fixed. We just want to slap a huge bandage on it and continue on with our bad behavior. This applies across the board, not just in the sexual realm. We want the doctor to replace our clogged arteries while we are stuffing a grease burger in our face. Who's responsibility is the 6 yr. old who weighs 125 lb. and can't even put his knees together? Here's another irony. These same people insist that everything has evolved and it is a world of survival of the fittest, yet these same people insist on keeping the stupidest, weakest of us alive, and for what? To propagate the species?
  3. But you just don't get it. We evolved from lower primates and have no self control. When the feeling comes over us, we just have to stick it in something.
  4. The Catholic Church could pass out condoms with communion with pictures on how to use, and it wouldn't make a lick of difference because all sexual disease is caused by people doing as they damned well please, regardless of religious, scientific or medical intervention. Do you understand? You could use this same stupid argument about alcoholism. Why didn't the Church warn the people that having wine during communion could turn them into drunks? What about all of the people who aren't Catholics. They were warned by the scientific and medical community. Did they take the warning seriously, or was it blown off with a 'Never happen to me' attitude?
  5. I don't condone lying, cheating, stealing, adultery, or sexual seduction or coercion by the clergy. Based on the fact that you do not believe that man has the ability to forego sexual promiscuity, and that they only have the ability to obey those edicts that are easy or convienient, what makes you think that, if the Pope proclaimed today that all Catholics would have to wear condoms unless they were intentionally trying to conceive, all men would immediately obey? After all, isn't it human nature to disobey rules? Especially if they cause inconvenience or result in less sexual pleasure.
  6. Which group would that be? Catholics who choose to have illicit sex outside of the bonds of marriage?
  7. Given the history and symbolism of a hanging noose in the US, it's obvious what the message was. As far as your theory about the black students doing it themselves... "Here's what they think about you." Can you say"Duke rape case?" A total set up by a black woman accusing 'rich, selfish, white athletes' of rape, soley for the purpose of financial gain. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were all over it because they saw the potential of money coming their way.
  8. Since I'm from the West, would it imply that I'm horse thief?
  9. How is hanging a noose in a tree an actual crime? Did anyone confess to the 'crime'? Maybe the blacks did it in order to instigate a situation.
  10. Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's face it. The population of Africa which recognizes the Church as its final authority is small. Those who choose to disobey is even smaller, and those who contract AIDS is even smaller. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You are implying that these people are just too stupid to figure things out on their own. What did you call it? Casual racism? After two or three generations of AIDS and tons of medical information about it, if one cannot look around, scratch his head and say,"Hmmm, maybe I shouldn't be doing that." then he gets what he damn well deserves. That lesson applies to the whole world concerning any number of topics. On the upside, the world population is being controlled, thus saving the Artic ice and the Polar Bears.
  11. The information is out there. One only needs to access it. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's face it. The population of Africa which recognizes the Church as its final authority is small. Those who choose to disobey is even smaller, and those who contract AIDS is even smaller. You just hate Christianity. I don't see you slamming other religions for not being actively involved in the spreading of scientific or medical knowledge. I'm sure there are more Muslims in Africa than any other religion. Are they stepping up to the plate and condemning such things as female curcumcision. Does that really, really piss you off, or do you blow that off as one of their religious traditions? How about the fact that Muslim men pretty much get a pass on rape,[Hey, don't forget the rubber] but a woman can be stoned to death?
  12. Then you shouldn't worry about it. It'll happen. Just a little old fashioned karma comin' down. Willey Nelson- Tougher than Leather
  13. I saw the guy who created the site on ABC yesterday. It all a big spoof.
  14. So why do you God haters keep falsely implying that the Catholic Church is responsible for the AIDS epidemic in Africa, which also makes your argument moot? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Partially responsible. *Partially*. The edicts of the Church are only given to and apply to those in the Church. One of the wonderful things about humans [some of us, anyway] is that we have the ability to resist our baser, carnal nature. We are meant to live life on a little higher plane than the animals. This is one of the concepts of most religions. If one claims to be a Catholic, and lives a life in accordance to the guidance of the Church, what is the possibility of that person ending up with AIDS? If one of their members commits a robbery or a murder, is that crime also laid at the feet of the Church? The exception is with the clergy. You can't, on the one hand, claim that the people have the ability to chose a life that endangers them, and then claim that they are too stupid to weigh the consequences in the balance. The information is out there. One only needs to access it.
  15. So why do you God haters keep falsely implying that the Catholic Church is responsible for the AIDS epidemic in Africa, which also makes your argument moot? I am an ex-Catholic because I chose not to abide by their rules, so I'm only taking the words of a bunch of religion haters that this is a fact. My personal life doesn't require the need of such regulation. If I got AIDS, who's fault would it be?
  16. Sure. Let him visit, and then, depending on the words that come out of his mouth, let the people of NY decide in what condition he leaves the site.
  17. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- How is the Catholic Church responsible for those people -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let me ask you something. How many clubs, teams or secret societies let their members run around, willey nilley, disobeying the rules and regulations, regardless of how ridiculous or inane they may appear to someone outside of the organizaton, without some kind of reprimand? If the Catholic Church suddenly decided to rewrite all of its rules to fit the flow of today's everchanging immoral society, it wouldn't be the Catholic Church anymore, now, would it?
  18. It's the homeopathic cure for Bonfire.
  19. Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sound like you dont care for the I GOT MINE and I OWE you NUTHIN crowd.. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- right you are, as I stated in my first post - 'every man for himself' is not a way to run a country, There is no such thing. Someone always wants to be the big dog.
  20. : I kind of skipped over this thread so i could be wrong but what no one has mentioned so far is your biggest problem with moving to the US to work on a DZ is working legally. He could always dye his hair black, get a tan, and come across the Southern border. No problemo!
  21. You could always go for the ice skate and rock removal technique.
  22. On an aside, who's going to show all of these poor, self decieved people how to properly use a condom? A large number of them can't even read. They'd probably use them for hauling water from the river. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Maybe you. I figured out a long time ago that keeping it in my pants would keep me out of trouble.
  23. Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If the fear of eternal damnation doesn't stop them, what makes you think that the Pope, standing on his balcony, throwing out packs of rubbers, like beads at Mardi Gras, is going to cause the people to use them? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, I believe that if the Vatican changed its stance on condom use then a whole lot of people in high AIDS risk areas will be more likely to use condoms, and more receptive to safe sex campaigns. And your stance is two faced. On the one hand, you say that the Church wields such power over the people that they all consider the use of birth control or sexual protection an abomination. On the other hand, you say that the Church has no control over the people, because they are just people, and they are going to do as they damned well please, anyway. Which is it? BTW, there are lots of American Catholics who practice birth control. On an aside, who's going to show all of these poor, self deceived people how to properly use a condom? A large number of them can't even read. They'd probably use them for hauling water from the river. You also paint a picture that there's a Catholic Church on every corner across Africa. Many of these people are under Muslim control, and many probably worship some tree god. How is the Catholic Church responsible for those people?
  24. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- In Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can't choose not to be sick. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, you can. Exercise, healthy diet, don't smoke, moderation in alcohol consumption, stay away from crowds. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Instead of health care, maybe they could take over funeral expenses. After all, the govt. has plenty of public land. Let the chips fall where they may, only the strong survive, that sort of thing. In the end, if you are responsible for your own wellness or misery, wouldn't you make just a little bit more effort?
