I don't know why all the hostility. There are any number of sports that probably present the same problems. White water kayaking, freediving, free climbing, spelunking...etc. etc. The fact is, he'd only have to search these forums for a short time to come up with the necessary drama to write a story. -

I had a similar situation this weekend. I threw out and felt nothing for about 1 1/2 seconds. Long enough to say," What the f--- is this." Then I had a canopy, but I was already on the handles.

Won't this eventually cause everything to become top heavy, thus causing the earth to spin faster, which will then sling the snow off of the tops of the mountains? Then everything will come back to normal.
