How is it that the US gets condemned for putting the smackdown on a punk, but we are supposed to be the world's sexual police? We can't even get the message across in our own country. We even teach it in the govt. schools. BTW, aren't some of these countries the same ones that believe in female curcumcision, so that a woman experiences no sexual pleasure? Do you really think that some edict from the desk of the President of the United States is going to matter one iota to these people?

Either the people fear for their eternal souls and obey the authority over them across the board, in which case, they will wait until marriage to have sex, stayed married until death do them part, and live a moral, sexually clean life, or they GAF about the authority, do as they please, and suffer the physical consequences of their own actions, which is their own responsibity. You cannot lay the blame for a man's peccadillos at the feet of the church, any more than you can blame the police for not distributing governors to people, so that they donot exceed the speed limit.

I just woke up from this dream so I'm putting it down for posterity. Note to start, that I do not know how to freefly. I was doing a freefly jump with a group of friends. It was getting twilight and everything was really hard to see. I went to sleep during the dive except that I was aware of my body position. I was on my back in a semi sit. I finally woke up and didn't see anyone around, so I go into a full sit, do a 360, scan the sky for everyone, and I'm alone. I glance at my altimeter, knowing that it has a glowface, but I can't see it. The lens is cracked and obscure, like a piece of clear plastic which has been lying in the sun too long. Finally, the light hits it just right, and the dial reads like a clock. The little hand is on the two and the big hand is bouncing on the six. I realize that it's broken, so I reach back and throw out my pilot chute. I am waiting for that welcome relief of feeling a chute over my head and......nothing. I look down and I'm standing on the ground with a bright orange pilot chute lying beside me. I pick it up, refold it, put in the pouch and start walking around the dz telling everyone," You're not going to believe this."

No more than six people. I think that some people, especially divers, just let the wind blow them around. I know that it's always easier to say than do, but you should have the base in your sights at all times and flying toward it. I just recognize the problem and am looking for tips and suggestions.

I got flamed pretty hard in a previous thread for making comments like that.

We end up scattered over a 1/2 acre of sky. Then we end up spending half of the dive getting everyone back together. It's my contention that we should be able to launch a no grip exit and still remain within a few feet of each other, or at least in the same tube of air, depending on exit timing. Any thoughts?
