  1. After seeing several posts, I was reminded of the Seinfeld episode about being the Master of your domain.
  2. Those in the forefront of the NAACP are always playing the race card. After the Civil War every black was promised forty acres and a mule. It didn't happen. If it had I am sure that they would have known what to do with it. Well, because it didn't happen, we have the 'You owe us' mentality thrown in our faces constantly. The majority of those who demand the reparations wouldn't shutup if they were paid. They wouldn't turn the opportunity to their advantage and actually turn it into a productive living. They'd squander it and start screaming that it just wasn't enough. It's been close to 150 yr. since the Civil War and 50 yr. since the start of the civil rights movement, yet there are thousands, maybe millions who are still milking the victim role for all that they can get. When you have parents and peers who project the attitude that being smart and excelling academically is just too white, why should we continue to make an effort, when they won't. This attitude transfers to the street. Who the hell wants to hire someone who has their hair tied up in knots, which you know hasn't been washed in weeks, or months, walking around with a pair of pants 5 sizes too big, having to constantly use one hand to hold them up, their underwear showing, and strutting around with some sort of gangsta shuffle that dares you to challenge them about their stupidity. Yea, it's a cultural thing.
  3. Most of them wouldn't or couldn't turn it into a profitable business. They'd sell it so that they could pimp out their ride and hang some bling around their necks. Oh yea, don't forget to buy some FUBUs that you have to walk around using one hand to hold your pants up with.
  4. Let's face it, the man didn't look at the big picture or the long road. He got caught up in the fame and fortune, surrounded himself with idiots who would give him kudos and now he is paying the price. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not making excuses for him or giving him a pass. If you were sitting on potentially several million dollars and all you had to do was toe the line for ten years, would you? He just thought that he was bulletproof. He was the BMOC, the HNIC. He knew that what he was doing was illegal or he wouldn't have gone to such lengths to hide it, but I doubt that he thought he would ever be caught.
  5. Neither is pimping a whore, or putting a cap in someone over a couple of rocks of crack. What you are telling us is, here is a man who has been raised to a high echelon in our society, due to his athletic talent, making more money in a few years than most of us will ever see, and he should still get a pass because he's..........black. How about stupid? Does he get a pass for that, also. Are you saying that some gangbanger shouldn't go to jail for knocking over the convienence store because it's just part of his culture? He's been taught that it's an easy way to get money. Let's face it, the man didn't look at the big picture or the long road. He got caught up in the fame and fortune, surrounded himself with idiots who would give him kudos and now he is paying the price.
  6. Have you ever watched a military movie and wondered,' Who the hell taught those people to salute?' Hand bent, striking somewhere on the forehead, arm flopping around. Yea, right!
  7. Ex Navy here. I worked for a general contractor and spent a lot of time at NAS Jax. When colors were raised in the morning I would face in the direction of the flag and come to attention. Some people just don't get it.
  8. There's a difference between two animals in nature and being put in a pit, and being forced to fight to the death. BTW, I don't believe that there are doggy treadmills for training in nature. Many of these people are also using steriods on the animals. Doesn't sound natural to me. Are you saying that animal abuse is just subjective?
  9. You've got to be kidding, right? We as a society have a right to do as we please and enjoy life, consequences be damned. Then when our health goes down the tubes, we simply blame someone else and let them pick up the bill.[sarcasm intended]
  10. This whole thing bugs the crap out of me. What Vic did is lower than low. But to raise a punishment for a way someone treats an animal to that bordering on a punishment for how a human was treated. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A person can go to jail for humanely putting an animal out of its misery if the right people see it happen. Since crimes today can be based on someone's supposed mindset toward another person, instead of just the act itself,I don't see why the same shouldn't be applied to some clown who drowns or stomps a dog to death, just because it didn't perform to his standards. There's definately something wrong in that man's mind. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Actually, I believe that the proper treatment of animals is addressed in the Bible. I think that common sense should prevail. Withholding food, water or comfort, either through negligence or for the purpose of punishment, which is a waste of effort, would be a good starting point.
  11. all those ppl in Alaska, making little Huskeys pulling sled should go to jail too.. Not if you were designed to live in the cold and run like a bat out of hell.
  12. Also a Teacher here, in first grade obscene and offensive, are generally not in the kids vocab, or on their cognitive radar. As long as, in the process, you don't try to lay a societal guilt trip on them; i.e. brainwashing.

  14. Over that last few years we have seen the feminization of America. Let's face it. A lot of women do not like boys being boys. The kids can no longer play games that require aggressivness or a high amount of activity for fear of someone getting hurt. Forget dodge ball or red rover. Forget anything that requires someone to be out or it. I wonder what playground equipment is no longer allowed on the playground. Shortyj, good for you wanting your boys to be boys. Take them outside and throw some dirt on them.
  15. Just more of the socialist, left wing brainwashing. Get 'em early!
  16. After all, aren't we talking about promoting the general welfare?
  17. And why is that? Could it be because no one has taught them the meaning of decorum and protocol? They've been taught that degrading and demeaning those in authority and the symbols representing that authority is the hip thing to do.
  18. A real man changes the oil first and then cooks dinner without washing his hands.
  19. Reply To -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regulate the prices, bring healthcare down to a reasonable level, and make sure that everyone is covered. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have already asked you - when you are trying to regulate "prices", you are regulating salaries. Do you want YOUR salary to be regulated as well if someone (like a homeless or a McDonalds employee) thinks you earn too much? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- So, you think that the medical field should do it just because they are feeling altruistic? I dare say that there are very few people in the medical field who are truly 'called' to the profession. How many doctors would we have if they knew that they had to invest the time and money required, out of their own pocket, and then be told by the govt. that they were only allowed to make $70,000 a year. Maybe we could get the govt. to insist that those teaching in the universities only get to make $30,000 a year. After all, we have to cut costs. How about the industries that build all of the different equipment? Should they only make a 1% profit? Do you see where this is going? The next thing you know, we've got unqualified illegal aliens installing oxygen systems in the hospitals. But, hey, we are keeping down the price of health care.
  20. Now I'm confused. I thought that it had already been proven.
