  1. Did this a few months ago exactly the same way you did yours. Still works so left it as is. Moisture I don't think is a problem, they get hot enough to burn it off. but what do I know
  2. I flew easyjet to Spain a couple of months ago, out from Luton returning to Heathrow with my rig as carry on. It was in a rig bag so no easyjet staff actually got to see it, but I can't see anything on their website prohibiting parachutes as carry on. The only time I've checked it in was after being sent back at the x-ray machine having been told it was the airports policy not to allow them as carry on. Probably because ryan-air was giving them a bung for doing so as this was at a relatively small airport after a boogie so lots of skydivers = lots of sports baggage allowance extra charges. fuckers but what do I know
  3. Unless you're cropping in or enlarging for a billboard, in practice 300 dpi is the highest resolution you need. Anything higher you're just wasting space on your hard drive. The print shop will probably be printing around 225dpi. but what do I know
  4. What Dave said - Jpegs should be fine. Just don't compress them too much (most scanner software offers a sliding scale for compression, keep it at or close to maximum). Don't save as a bitmap!! but what do I know
  5. This was a reply to a PM but I'm posting it to this thread in case it helps anybody else in future Sounds like we definitely have the same shaped heads! Mine is narrow (lots of sunglasses look to big on me as sticking out on the sides) but with quite a big bump on the back which means I take an xl hat/cap size, not that I ever really wear them. I think my cookie M1 might be an XL , the MVX camera helmet I've just bought is deifintely a L and its a little on the tight side but as the padding wears in thats getting better, wouldn't want it too much bigger anyway as snug fit definitely good for a camera helmet. I bought them both at the shop on my dropzone, the camera helmet was only there cos someone mis-ordered their size. It was sitting on the shelf winking at me and as they're the only make that fits me I had to have it, but that doesn't help you much as I'm in the UK. Cookie are Australian , check their website or email them for a US distributer? You're right they are on the expensive side but good quality and like I say they're the only make that fits me properly. Bit like ski-boots, you don't choose them they choose you. The only other make that came close to fitting me was tonfly (think they're in east europe somewhere) but same problem as you with the size if it fitted on the sides was too tight front and back felt like I'd have a headache after wearing for 5 mins. Their camera boxes are also pretty rubbish from what I've seen but they are very cheap.. Hope that helps Blue skies Sam but what do I know
  6. I'd describe my head shape the same as yours and the only helmets I've tried on that fit are cookie. I've got an M1 and then an MXV camera helmet and they both fit great, problem with other makes always gaps at the sides so too much lateral movement, though baking or padding might help if thats possible. Good luck. but what do I know
  7. jet fuel but what do I know
  8. No dude, some of the people that own the military. It's good you're asking questions. seeya
  9. No dude, some of the people that own the military. It's good you're asking questions. seeya
  10. Take ya pick dude My original point was more about the military spend. Seems to be a pretty fucking obvious conflict of interest going on within the US government, but that seems to be ok with most people. While we're at it, same deal applies to oil. let history judge. but what do I know
  11. Which oil companies are you referring to? OK let me correct that to the powers that really control the world, its major governments and most of its resources. Think but what do I know
  12. It is not in the oil companies interests to pump it out at record rates, they'd rather the world paid record prices. But it goes beyond oil. Wars cost a lot of money to wage. Look at who is taking that money, and where that money is coming from. >Do you think the US deserved 9/11? To think that anyone on the planet deserves anything like that shows a sad state of affairs. but what do I know
  13. That would depend on where in London you go and what you do once you're there My favourite city to visit would have be the one I haven't yet been to yet. Though really I'm just a country boy at heart. but what do I know
  14. yes it's cheaper to jump in the US. £400 per month in the UK is not unusual, in fact its about average as you can find out here. Lots of jumpers spend a whole lot more.. Whatever you spend, it's worth every penny my friend. You can't take it with you. but what do I know

  18. It wants to open. Easy to pack a slammer though.. edit to add it was around the 50 mark for me as freakflyer9999 posted, but everyone's different and I'd guess currency is a factor. My first 50 jumps took a while.. but what do I know
