Whatever you can do, or dream you can, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.... ...Nothing is worth more than this day. - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe but what do I know

Some of the best guitar players ever where self taught, but lessons will definitely help, and it doesn't mean you can't teach yourself stuff as well. They help to push you out of your comfort zone which can only make you a better player. Practice practice practice. Make a commitment if you can to play every day, even if it's only for 20 mins but ideally at least an hour. Like skydiving in part it's a muscle memory thing and this can only be acquired by repetition, but you probably remember that from when you played trumpet. Enjoy! but what do I know

So do it! And don't forget to mention how much you like the 'groundbusters' design and you'd take two of them as well Here's the link to Guy's archive - http://picasaweb.google.com/Alternativ.ScreenAB seriously these T's rock! I've had a random whuffo say 'cool t-shirt' as they passed me on the street! Proper Bo I tell thee... (last line may make no sense to many, just ignore me ) As a new jumper it feels like a connection to the good old bad old days... Check out Airtwardo's avatar.. (though come to think of it, not THAT old) but what do I know

I've heard it more commonly called gin flying or speed flying. I hope you're taking Jakee's advice to heart. but what do I know

filters filters filters, so a quick word about hoods I am a professional (terrestrial) stills photographer and always use a lens hood (bar a few exceptions - shooting through glass being one). Will cut extra light affecting meter reading and prevents lens flare. No brainer IMHO. edit 4 spelling as always.. but what do I know

I use ipod access on a mac and it worked great. sorry no link - google it! edit www.findleydesigns.com/ipodaccess/index.html but what do I know

*bump* Just in time for Xmas!! Come on people you know you want them, and check out the archive!! I'm trying to get enough people interested in the 'groundbusters' design to merit a reprint - I know I'm not the only one who wants one, we just need a few more! BSBD but what do I know

Yes I would agree with 'your fate is to die whenever you die' and yes I would agree this is a pointless truism. Kind of my point. your aside - 'if you think that your death is predestined' - I don't and never said I did. 'if you think that your death is predestined, yet also a result of the actions you take then you cannot believe in free will' - who knows? impossible to prove. but what do I know
-
why should that be so? couldn't you just be reaching your last heartbeat at moment of impact? I believe in destiny and fate to a certain extent, it doesn't mean you have no control whatsoever. Just trying to make the point to all the posters in this thread who suggest jumping without rig etc, that you could do this and it still be your fate /destiny. Anyway, life is for living so why would you want to do that? Applying logical arguement to life doesn't work. Life is not generally logical. but what do I know

I like how u think! but what do I know

I think you get less opening shock in thinner air no?? but what do I know

heard it today - "and the rest, as they say, is history" who are 'they'? everbody else, but you're saying it, so leave out the 'as they say' and admit to your own use of a tired old cliched phrase but what do I know

My ex-wife tells me that when she was in the maternity ward, another woman there had named her little girl "Latrina". That is so tragic. Comedy at its best. but what do I know

At the risk of sounding like a smart-ass: Mercedes is a common Spanish name.

It was probably reading thisthread that prompted my post, and I didn't intend to turn this into a high wingloading/low jump numbers thread bashing. If your canopy coaches and mentors are happy then it's all good, like I said if it was me - you must be a better canopy pilot. You don't have to justify your wingloading to me, my second post was meant for superhina who if his profile is correct looks like an accident waiting to happen. edit: and congratulations again on your 200th, mine is approaching - I may of even downsized by then but what do I know
-
Nah, just in it for the long haul. I'm happy to wait 4 or 5 hundred jumps before wingloading ike that. Ever heard that saying about old pilots and bold pilots?? but what do I know

Its the vein/rib thing and seeds where the capsicum is most concentrated. but what do I know

Habaneros cultivated from scotch bonnets, so same species - same same but different do a blind tsting and get back to us but what do I know
-
they look like scotch bonnets to me fire!! edit: having clicked on the link above, they still look like scotch bonnets. best for hot pepper sauce but you won't get the harvest from a plant or two, use them in a jerk marinade and don't forget to drink beer but what do I know
-
Congrats on you 200th. Each to his own, but if I was on your wingloading of 1.47 main & reserve, I'd be doing a lot more tandems in order reach my 300th. but what do I know

Too damn right. And it's your friends that get you into it... http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=754403141 don't be shy! but what do I know
