Ferrara's is a definite must if you like deserts. My sister live in NY so I visit a few times a year. On the last trip we decided to do the typical tourist thing and take the open topped red bus tours (forget the operator, but if you are interested let me know and I will find it). They were fantastic, we saw plenty of places my sister had never even been. They are hop-on hop-off and the tickets are good for a few days and they hit all the major spots and you can even get tickets to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island (which is another must, one of the most amazing places to visit). So, if you are only there for a long weekend and it is your first time, that might something to consider. Also, they do a tour of the Christmas lights around that time of year (which I plan to take this Christmas myself).

Not me though...I'm enjoying the beach in that type of weather. Growing up, 65F was the best we could hope for during the summer most days.

Definitely prefer it on the cool side! Would actually be very happy if every day it was 65F with no humidity!

True...but you have not met some of my clients, they'd go on for days if I let them.

I've learned with several clients recently that I just have to put my foot down when it comes to dragging out a conversation. Just be honest, it is not fun the first time, but it gets easier. I usually just go with "I'm sorry, but I am really short on time right now, did you need to ask me something?" That usually brings them right back to the topic.

Have to agree with you there Sara. You know when your boss plays hookie with you in the afternoon to go for a few drinks, you have a cool boss. We are very lucky!!!

I enjoyed looking through this thread at work this afternoon, so figured I should contribute a few of my own. As you can see I was sort of fashion challenged. The first is of my First Communion when I was six (I'm the tall one) and the second was taken that summer. The third one was taken the following summer during one of my first trips to Florida. And in the last one I'm 13 (again, I'm the tall one).

Lucky you!!! I have traveled a lot on my own and with others. I love Asia, Vietnam is amazing and not to touristy yet (or at least it was not a few years back). Italy is wonderful, you can't go wrong where ever you go (just watch your pockets if you make it to Naples.) And closer to home for you, the Giants Causeway area of Northern Ireland is one of my favorite places for a weekend getaway, either by yourself or with others. And you are right about the US, there is something unique about each state! Enjoy!
