  1. 10 gusting to 18 was exactly the scenario last weekend for me. After a jump I decided it would be smart to call it a day. So to answer your question, from now on with 10 gusting to 18 is calling a day for me.
  2. yeah, most of us do that. it's all covered during your first jump course i made my parachute to be about 190sq ft, but im not really sure how big it is, and some people recommended i make myself a new one, those skydivers ps i'm kidding
  3. oh yeah, I heard people are gonna jump out of planes and stuff you can't miss that one!
  4. Hey folks. I got 'em all. I can bring some copies on dvd if you come to Dublin. If not you can download them in good quality using torrents. I recomment azureus as a download program and mininova.com for episode releases Now you can contribute to my "firsts" beer fund at Dublin
  5. Great Dave, you changed your picture. Now I'll be walking around Dublin, looking for a freaked out, 8 year old girl to get me beer
  6. you accumulated too much porn, it's gonna explode edited to add: they're replacing it to steal your collection
  7. I fell asleep..... does that count as bailing out?
  8. I believe it got shut down, at least it's what I saw Thu night
  9. Oh yeah! I almost forgot. Is your pic accurate? I will be hunting you down This boogie should be sweeeet
  10. OK, fixed it for ya...Heiny or Corona Lights will work. I expect them in my tent when you arrive. I live here so know I'll be around. oh, there will be beer let's see what else - my first heli jump, my first balloon jump, my first high altitude jump (maybe) ... ok ok let me stop right here .... i'm digging myself a big hole over here.... i may as well soon call a truck to deliver all the beer

  12. little off topic (sorry for jacking) I met a kid with 80 jumps jumping Stilletto 170 (his exit weight around mine ~190-195lbs) Kid jsut bought Katana 120 and wanted to downsize - the DZ obviously didnt let him even consider jumping it. How he got it is beyond my comprehension (jacking the thread over)
  13. I really don't want to bash you - shit I only have a few jumps and still learning, but look at all your posts, man. It is scary to read some things you write. It almost seems like yo are forcing yourself to overcome fear to continue the sport and it's not the way to go. Why can't you talk to your instructors? Edited to add: And go jump already!!!
  14. yeah, he claims he finished aff a few days ago... go figure
  15. haha 1\10 - beat that i dont even know who half of those "celebrities" are ... and really dont follow yay me
  16. check for installed programs in ad/remove in control panel, lets see a list of processes from your taskbar manager. that will be a good start
  17. Michal: At age 60 a tiger will maul you. Don't ask why, but you will be in a Burmese jungle.
  18. First of all, I hope you get your rating. You definitely have the attitude to teach people (I'm new to sport, and know how much good approach means to new people) Having said that I also have to ask you to rethink whether you are qualified/prepared to become an AFFI this summer. For once, it's a requirement of 6 hours in freefall. You say, you have a total of ~210. which puts you around 3 (excluding your CREW jumps even less). I can see that it is possible to get 6hrs+ this summer though. So keep jumping What gets my attention is your time in sport. As I plan to become an AFFI in the future, I want to ask these several questions: Do you have all it takes now to take the responsibility for other people's lifes? Have you experienced it all to be confident enough to pass your knowledge to others? According to your posts you had 27 jumps just 7 months ago. You say 3 years in sport, but it seems like it's less than a year of active jumping. Can you honestly say that you are 200% prepared to guide people to this sport safely? Do you have all the answers to their every possible question? Are these answers backed up by your experience, or manuals and other people's words? How would you live with yourself, if one of your students got hurt? I don't want to bring you down, or flame you. Just like yourself, I want to be an AFFI one day, but I will attend a course when I know, I'm the best I can be. It just doesn't seen feasible when I have 200-300-400 jumps (and its not because I'm a slow learner) Because I know my experience is very limited in this sport, you can disregard my post, if you wish too. I, however, thought that it would be good and beneficial for you to consider all these things before you start your AFF course. PS I have to give credit to some certain experienced South African gentleman at this one particular DZ in FL, who made me think deeply about these questions
  19. I agree with you entirely, but it is a pain to read your posts. Seriously - spell checks and punctuations would be sweet. Other than that, rock on. I hope you get your rating!
  20. Dude, you are really trying hard to become another statistics. Please slow down, and read some more http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1100195; http://www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=1111928#1111928 That canopy is not a good choice unless you plan to die.
