Yup, it's only 182 for cold winter months. We were doing 150+ tandems a day on weekends last summer so it's not that bad. Flying 2 Otters (or one sometimes) AFAIK, Heli is gone, Skyvan is gone (but may be back in the future), Caravan is broken and I belive will be sold. Biplane is getting a new engine built, Porter is coming back and the Otter is in FL (I think) but is coming back. So this year should not be that bad . We will probably have 2 Otters (and a Porter?)

They're doing better than fine. I imagine them all sitting together and laughing their assess off as their bank accounts grow exponentially.

The other thread got me thinking and I did not want to jack it I'm flying into Luton at 7.25am and have another flight to catch at 1pm from Heathrow (international flght) I am not checking any bags. Although it seems like plenty, what's the realistic thing here? Will I have to hurry up really bad? What time should I get to Heathrow to get through everything easily and not worry about missing my flight?

Hi, I've been looking to buy a weight belt for some time now, but every DZ I've visited in the last 6 months did not have anything of the quality I want. So I narrowed it down to 2 choices - Leadbelly and Parasport Italia weight belt. The problem is, skydiving stores around me do not have them and I can't take a closer look. All pictures found on the net are way too small to judge the quality of the belt. Does anyone have pictures I could look at? Please? If not, does anyone have one or the other? Do you like it? Thanks for your input.

Question before I bother my insurance agent. Since I don't have an official lease (landlord is a good friend) does it still work with renter's insurance? If not, what would be the alternative to insure your rig?

And if something goes bad you will wish you had something bigger over your head. Remember: You have all your life to downsize. Just like with your posts about camera flying, possible head down coaching, your in air awareness (to which people commented you are unsafe on skydivingmovies.com), future tandem shooting, and downsizing.... dude, you have all your life, make it long. Take it easy. And always make sure you fill your bucket of skills before your luck runs out. Peace.

Hi all. Just a shot in the dark... Any New York City area dwellers reading this and interested in forming a semi-committed 4-way team for 2008 season? By semi-committed, I mean training one day a week (or every other week, will figure it out) and starting around May at any DZ around NYC, whatever fits our needs. Skill level: any - rookie to intermediate (I don't think any pros would volunteer ) I have some 4-way experience including tunnel time, but anything works, we can start from scratch. I'm looking to find good people with similar goals, to learn this year and hopefully be very serious and committed in 2009 (tunnel camps, pro coaching, etc) To be honest, I would like to be fully committed right now but understand it is a challenge to find 3 other individuals sharing similar goals, so I'm not counting for much . I guess it depends where in Manhattan you're coming from (traffic) Counting from Williamsburg bridge, it takes me 1hr 45 min +/- 5mins to get to both Skydive Long Island I just don't recommend
