The only problem is that after two thousand(!) years of discussion, even the Christians still cannot agree on what the Truth really is. So we now have catholics, protestants, mormons, eastern orthodox, baptists, Jehova witnesses - and while all of them are Christians, they are still different. Unfortunately they still cannot decide which religion is the only right, so there is no way to know the Truth just by following some branch. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Why should I? That statement effectively contradicts with your previous statement, and basically says that the easiest route should be allowed even in the definitive case of irresponsible action. That was exactly my point. Good job, pal. But only selfish parents try to program their kids how they should live their lives. Yep, I too would rather prefer mine not to do skydiving. That's what you meant, right? That is vague criteria, as we all have seen some people who were still not mature enough at the age of 40. At least I hope you'll acknowledge their free will to be themselves, and won't refuse them even if they decide to become a porn star. I still have no idea why you are so concerned about it, but anyway. I did not ask you to evaluate my points of view, and, to be honest, I absolutely do not care what you think about it. You just wasted some good bandwidth. Me too, though. Seems like you misunderstood what I said. Nobody forces anyone to do an abortion. But if a woman wants an abortion because she could not support that kid, and the government does not allow her to do that abortion, the government should be responsible for this decision, and therefore increase the welfare for her. If she doesn't want an abortion, the situation is the same as we have now, no changes needed. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

_We_ should not. Each of us could consider it either a human being or not a human being depending on our own opinion. There is no reason to have a common definition. Yes, I will be ok with that. I'm not the member of the Morale Police, and do not consider myself in charge to judge other human beings. Especially I would not force them to follow my moral rules, as I am sure they are not perfect. But you still missed the point. So you think the infected adults should not be allowed to use the "easiest way" (medicine), because they should be held responsible for their actions, is that correct? I have kids, and I do not mind them becoming porn stars when they become adults. I want my kids to live the adult life THEY choose to live, not the life I choose for them to live. What's wrong with being a porn star? I like good porn (which is mostly French or Italian, I have to admit), and my personal opinion is that it is much better to be a porn star than a nun or a priest. This is simple enough - the government has to pay either for abortion, or to increase her welfare to support the 3rd kid. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

There is neither shared "irresponsible actions", nor "easier route". It is irresponsible action for the people who consider an embryon a human. But if the partners do not consider embryon a human, having unprotected sex is not irresponsible for them. Regarding "easier route", do you also think that those who got syphilis during unprotected sex should also be banned from getting antibiotics as "easier route", and insted should live with the cosequences of their definitely irresponsible actions? What do you mean by "government sanctioned"? Is it "forced by government to do abortion" or "goverment should not deny if they want to get abortion"? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Two reasons. First is cost-benefit comparision. In the case of dead transplantation the benefits are obvious and almost immediate, and the costs are basically nothing (except for few individuals). It is completely different for abortion; the costs for "donor" are pretty high - nobody uses abortion just for fun - and the benefits are not so obvious, and definitely not immediate. Second, your comparision is not correct. It would be the same if we state that nobody is allowed to be excluded from the donor list. However it is not the case. It was said that by default everyone should be included in the donor list (because it is good for society), but everyone who does not want to, should be excluded. If they say the same for abortion - i.e. by default no one should do abortion (because it is good for society), but everyone who wants to do it, should be able to. There is no moral law. There is moral, but hopefully it is not a law. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Then your family gonna get a lot of chargebacks because someone will buy your heart for $50K, but will only pay for UPS Ground shipping. P.S. I'd like to try that weed too :) * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Oh, that's easy. They don't even need to kill someone. Just kidnap him/her to Mexico, and replace the organ there, no questions asked. And it doesn't matter whether you signed up as a donor, or not :) * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Well, if they never even thought about making such a request, then it should never ever be their concern. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

And I completely agree with what England's chief medical officer says. Then you could expressly request not to be. My understanding is that very few people actually care what happens with their bodies after they die. But if you prefer to rotten and be eaten by slippery worms being intact and complete - you have that right. So you prefer showing "respect" to the dead against saving a life? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

I would like to tell you a bit more about God

Because there are too much religion fanatics OUTSIDE these forums, and some people are tired of them. When was the last time you were approaching by some atheist group on the street? Do they often come to your house to tell you that the end is near, and you will go to Hell if you continue reading this bullshit? How many atheist "churches"/clubs have you seen around? When was the last time atheists tried to put atheism in public schools? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

Well, if we even got a clue that your point of view is somehow different from the point of view of other endless Christians, this would make sense. But there is absolutely no reason to understanding another point of view of "Lord Jesus will save us all". And that's why I sometime wonder why the Christians, who cannot stand on their beliefs while talking to secular community ever start threads like that. There is no need to understand other people beliefs to be tolerant. I would even go further and say sometime it is much easier to be tolerant if you have no clue about other people beliefs. Good idea. We can tell the kids that Jesus teaches them to love each other, and then they could learn Kama Sutra from Buddhism to know how to love each other :P * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

Why should a person looking for Eternity Life care about some secular "shitload of trouble"? According to Christianity, this world is going to be destroyed anyway, and the only thing which is important is how good Christian you were. This is the only thing which decides whether you go to Heaven. Therefore they know they Did The Right Thing, and will be rewarded in Heaven for that - which must be more than enough for any true Christian. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

I would say so. Always wondered why such Christians, who claimed to be pure believers in Holy Lord And Savior Jesus go to doctor when they got sick? In my opinion if you really believe in Jesus Almighty, you should go to your church and pray Jesus, not go to doctor who knows that people's ancestors were monkeys. And taking pills must be considered a betrayal for Jesus as well. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

Anyone in this world know where to go to know more about God. But know what? Not everyone wants to know more about s fetish Santa. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -

So if I fell from chair, and want to get an MRI - right now - I can get it in OZ right now, correct? And what do you mean by "affordable"? Is it free? * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

That's the answer for the people who want government-managed healthcare. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Well, in most countries with government-managed healthcare you will not get ANY money for "pain and suffering" at all. And it will be useless to sue the doctor, because the government-paid doctors are poor. Sure the doctor might lose the license, but you won't get any money out of it. Not to mention the system protects doctors in such a case - after all, the doctors are just humans like every of us, and they do make mistakes; if the system revokes the doctor's license after the first mistake, there would be no doctors, as their salaries are usually not attractive to average person. It is impossible to have high-quality and affordable health care available for everyone. No country has succeed in it. This cheap $5k surgery made in India is not affordable by vast majority of the India population either. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *

Illegal Aliens Declare War on the United States
georgerussia replied to warpedskydiver's topic in Speakers Corner
Some people don't even know that this is the most difficult thing. First, to send someone back to their country you need to know what their country is, and be able to prove it to the country officials. This is close to impossible if the person has no documents in posession - even if the person cooperates with the investigators, and doesn't just say that he is Sherlock Holmes from England. Second, to depart someone there should be an immigration hearing in the immigration court (you could have one with USCIS, but you could appeal), in front of a judge. And the person needs a (free) lawyer and, in most cases, interpreter. This costs money, the immigration courts are overcrowded, and the person is in prison, getting free food, room and healthcare. There are other problems, also related with money, but those two are most important. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. * -
Then you could sue him for his assets, and/or wages. In California all the assets accrued during marriage are the common property, so it won't help here. Anyway, future wages cannot be put on the spouse name. * Don't pray for me if you wanna help - just send me a check. *
