  1. They're private. Quantas is public for the Aussies. Regulations have fallen off in the airline indust. Remember the summer just before 911? 2 major airlines had their mechs wanting to strike, your president (GWB) told them if they struck, their union contracts would be voided - they didn't strike, but appealed to higher courts and the judge stuck with the fascist guy you voted for. He said the pres had no authority, but WTF, it's just peasants whining. Now after 911, the airlines are in trouble, your guy hoisted millions in gift boxes to airlines with NO REQUIREMENT TO CONTINUE TO EMPLOY ANYONE. I'm sorry you feeel the need to further defend the airlines when the gov does nothing but lick their asses, poor corporate airlines. - Personal responsibility - Never got a job from a poor guy - Pull yourself up by your bootstraps - Heard enough of your style of cliche to choke a horse.............
  2. Regulation in the airline industry has actually gone down in the last decades. That's the understatement of the century. Carter started it in the late 70's and the industry has taken a shit ever since - from a guy in the biz.
  3. As opposed to people whose plan is so fucked up, they had to bribe their OWN folks to vote for it. Perhaps because some of our so-called OWN folks are just like Lieberman, so that is the issue.
  4. TARP was Bushes baby and it saved the banks. The GDP has flipped http://www.bea.gov/newsreleases/national/gdp/gdp_glance.htm, the market mostly recovered and un employment dropping. To expect a 2-week turnaround is to be a Republican.
  5. Riiiight, the recession that started in mid-late 07 wasn't the culprit and the idiot that watched it hoping it would fix itself isn't to blame either. This is where our gov has us headed: http://www.bea.gov/newsreleases/national/gdp/gdp_glance.htm And the stock market over 10k and holding a year early. And now unemployment now dropping. So call Obama a turd for advocating the prescription drug BS and for keeping us in the ME, but please, get your facts straight before uttering ridiculousness about the current fiscal turnarround.
  6. Just like the people have won the 4th issues? Or the 8th issues? Altho I don't think there will be a mass collection of firearms, mass registration could be an issue and think of all the firearms that won't be registered and become felonies to the bearers of them.
  7. Gross Capitalism doesn't work. The answer is to become quasi-Cap, quasi-Soc and it will work as it does in countries that employ that system. Cutting the military is also a major start, spending close to 1 T per year between military spending and the wars is easily the culprit. Taxing the rich more is also a good start, whether we raise the top brkt or eliminate deductions, the rich are so filthy that the poor are worse than many countries.
  8. Nothing? The GDP tanking for 4 of 5 Q's, the recession started in mid-late 07 while dipshit did nothing but wait for it to fix itself and you say nothing substantive? See teh GDP since? The GWB stock market? The Obama market? Now the GWB freefall in unemp has been curbed and the stimulus and bank repayments will go to that. I know the typical Republican, "they're all the same" waterring down of their (Repubs) atrocities to the poor include saying bith economies are the same and always have been, but unless you disregard history they are entirely different. You can take other issues and make that argument, but the issues relating to economic data are so uniquely different with talking R's to D's is a joke to pretend otherwise.
  9. Agreed; there is a diff, sometimes we need to use a microscope. Let's face reality; the US is a fucked up country aside from its politics.
  10. Yep, really dissapointed with Obama for giving on HC and furthering the ME wars. Not to mention applauding Bush's continued prescription drug heist. The only real difference I see between the D's and the R's is the D's are actually less bad for the economy than the R's; by a lot. It will be fun to read the replies where the R's here try to skew the numbers and convince us that the R's aren't primarily responsible for the economic mess, but that is the major real diff between the 2 parties. I still like Obama, but am dissappointed. So many things are systemic, meaning they occcur on either/both sides, but this fascist mess we call the USA is really run by 1 entity/ideology with minor variations from either side. Now come the even nuttier Libertarians who will try to convince us that cutting most taxes will fix everything, even tho history shows the exact opposite.
  11. You sure about that? The google hits I got on it didn't seem to indicate its point of origin. Anyhow, the word "passe' " was a dead giveaway it didn't originate from you. \ Gettin Personal Now? I don't even Know you! I don't know you either and I have the same 'idier.'
  12. So Cimmunist China is the US' biggest creditor, Luxemborg has the highest GDP per capita last I checked and most socialist nations fill the top 10 of that category. The US is the biggest debtor of all time and your argument is that American Capitalism is on the right track, the rest are failures. No wonder you guys embrace Reagan, he tripled the debt and that to you was a failure, yet Obama is spending too much. Seriously, run your rhetoric past the BS-ometer. I'll get the rest tonight, I have to go to work.
  13. I found similar data. Free country; free to be ill as your countrymen watch. See, you flag wavers tend to forget the "By the people, of the people, for the people" catchy little phrase. You think freedom means to allocate massive sums of money to private corporations from teh government, in whatever industry, and then allow that corp to operate how they want, exclude who they want and pay how many ever 100's of millions in salary to the waste at the top - then call that freedom. And that's because you picture a nation's medical health as a business decision, a corporate model, etc. The rest of the world, the civilized part, refers to HC as a necessity, not a business; that's where conservatives really are a mess. I get it, 2% of the world - US connies are right, the rest of the world is wrong. Of course its those connies who stuck us most of 12T in debt while the rest of the world has killed our currency, so we've almost ousted those genius American conservatives - more to go.
  14. And that being true, the USSR wasn't a threat in 1981. They were so busy with Afghanistan and enjoying our grain that we would have had to goad them into war.
  15. That's what I love about your posts...so much intellect, compassion, and understanding. From the party that wants HC to be exclusive
  16. OK and you would have the banks fail, the country fall into a deep depression and feeel good about it. I've asked you before, as i have many conservs, you're president on Jan 20, 2009 (yes I realize the bailout was during Bush), what do you do? What do you do with the mortage mess / bank mess? You can sit there and talk about how it sucked, but you have no resolve, just criticism for those who actually act on the mess. How ridiculous is that? Let's hear a somewhat comprehensive solution - I won't wait. BTW, yes, we know the whole mess sucks, whining noted.
  17. Yup all three of you defenders of the Bush Faith....all VERY much Fans of Bush in support of Bush...ad nauseum.. even while all of you are claiming to be "libertarians" You act as if there's a difference. Nah I just like pointing out how many lying sacks of dogshit we have here who are too afraid of looking like the losers they are. Closeted rePUBICans seems to be the norm here... as if the way they post does not shout who the fuck they really voted for in the last 3 elections The problems these cock suckers have is they have to appear to be winners in their own minds.. as if the moronic Libertarians have a fucking clue of how to be a governing body. I really hate when people disgiuse their true feelings I actually couldn't have said it better. It's funny as hell to watch Republicans hide behind the disguise of Libertarians while we can see their freudian slip showing everytime we talk war/military expenditures and they are all over it. Then they jump back behind the mask as if no one noticed. True Libertarians have the right to be offended, but they also want the voting pool so they allow the intrusion.
  18. wow... you really think that about the L? well it's clear you're not interested in learning anything in these forums, nor changing your viewpoint. So I won't bother to attempt to educate you. Enjoy your ignorance. Enjoy your ignorance Enjoy your Personal Attack.
  19. Lucky said: baited hook... meet cheek. Lucky, I suggest pushing it through and cutting the barb off. Diversionary tactic not made - FAIL.
  20. Yup all three of you defenders of the Bush Faith....all VERY much Fans of Bush in support of Bush...ad nauseum.. even while all of you are claiming to be "libertarians" You're getting really good with that telepathy, Jeanne - I mean, how could all us extreme right wingers hide behind things like saying they don't care if gays get married, or that marijuana should be legalized, or that government should be smaller. Yeah, you caught us! Being a hardcore extremist Republcian who theinks they're comprimising by not caring about gays or pot makes you a 90% Repub. NEWSFLASH: Few people admit to being a Republican anymore, but if iut comes back into fashion, I'm sure you'll be there. Besides, true Libertarians are against massive military expenditures and all you do is defend fascist Ronnie for that - your diguise is blown, now take off your Ron Paul mask; we know it's you.
  21. Yup all three of you defenders of the Bush Faith....all VERY much Fans of Bush in support of Bush...ad nauseum.. even while all of you are claiming to be "libertarians" You act as if there's a difference.
  22. I'll translate that: Of course not, Obama can do no wrong, even if he is doing the exact same things that Bush did. Exact same things? http://www.bea.gov/newsreleases/national/gdp/gdp_glance.htm http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=%5EDJI#chart1:symbol=^dji;range=2y;indicator=volume;charttype=line;crosshair=on;ohlcvalues=0;logscale=on;source=undefined I see an exact opposite effect and now unemployment is starting to drop off: http://www.data360.org/dsg.aspx?Data_Set_Group_Id=248 All 3 indicators have turned, GDP and the MArket drastically, so I don't see your invalid pioint as anything but ridiculous. Maybe you can put into terms what Obama is doing that is the same as your guy, the intent and the result. I won't wait for an answer.
  23. Fixing it. Yeah, ok. "Heckuva job, Barry...heckuva job." (oh - I'm pretty the attached is WITHOUT the 2.5-6 TRILLION dollar Obamacare fiasco.) Just like a dishonest person, you must quote out of context. So you do approve and now you don't approve of Obama fixing it as I'm sure you didn't approve of Clinton raising taxes to fix fasict pig Ronny's mess. So it's now 2.5-6T...listen to your boy Hannity long enough and it will be 10T Of course you don't mind wasting trillions and trashing the economy over a supposed USSR threat that never was, any sane (Not FR) person could have seen then that the USSR wasn't a threat. But to bring us normal and have some kind of HC for evryone is bad for the US. Yep, Mike, ideals like yours I believe are diminishing.
  24. I am really starting to enjoy your replies And bringing in the usual nothing.
