If your intention is doing competiton video, the two things you will definitely need is a suit with huge wings and booties. With that covered you will have the extra range you will need, next is a lens that is wide enough. I used to use a sony .06 which was actually wider than my kenko .43 but after jumping the diamond .03 I think there is no other lens, the Diamond is the best lens out there, hands down. Now for the how high, what I can suggest is to look at your video and tell how high, if your filling the screen without grips being out of frame then thats how high you want to be, it will take a few jumps to figure that out. And steep, I myself fly the heck out of the burble but I have 3000 jumps filming 4way. When I first started shooting 4way my team told me, to learn how close is too close you have to fall on the team, so I did. I suggest the same, you will figure it out a lot faster that way. Once your off the hill its quite easy, learn where to be on the hill and the rest is a cakewalk. If your doing it right you wont need your wings, booties or the wide angle lens, but they all help out and help out a lot over time. One last thing I.M.O NEVER PEEL its too easy to get an NJ some of the best peelers still NJ. Think of it this way, the team is presenting a picture to the back of the flight path, where would you want to be to get that picture best, behind it where the shot is presented or in front of it trying to get behind it? Most of all, ask around, look around and figure out what works best for you. There is hundreds of videographers out there with hundreds of styles, find your own, Im sure you will do fine. Calm down, monkeyboy. The group payed for none of his jumps, that came out of my pocket, the CD sales are his gig and I think a great deal. Plenty of pictures will be posted and sent into the publications as soon as I take the time and make them small enough to fit online, me and Rickster both have been very busy working out of town, now that project is done I can work on the birdman pictures. Im looking to take a DVD put it in my DVD player/recorder and rip it to AVI. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Anyone know a good program to convert a DVD to AVi. I have Pinnacle and Roxio but both of them either wont do it or they suck at it. Anyone have any ideas? Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

That one was tame, loic and I talked about it for a while, he said it was hard but he had a good bail out area where he could have just went off the slope. He since did one down a Valley where there was cliffs on both sides, and there was a flat spot about halfway down, he had to dive down the one steep slope and pick up speed to get over the flat spot and then fly the rest of the way down. I forgot to mention, Air Traffic in Daytona said they saw the flocks quite well, good thing they knew, imagine seeing something as big as a B2 Bomber decending rapidly and then just dissapearing at 5000 ft. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

We Did 3 great jumps at full altitude, we got a late start, when I posted the first post they flew a load to altitude but it was a little wet when they exited so we stayed on the ground. Everything cleared up and we had a fantastic final skydive. Tomorrow is looking great, and I cant wait to see what we can do, were very close, a lot closer than we were on friday. I just walked outside after watching the weather, it said cloudy all day, what they diddn't say was the couds are at 20'000ft Perfect for birdman and even better for the watchers on the ground. Ok Im trying to put a few DVD's on one dvd as well as some videos from mini DV and some files. The Files and mini Dv are easy but the DVD is becoming a bit complicated. I have Roxio, Pinnicle, and Adobe encore. Pinnacle will change the dvd to a file but when I try and use that file with any program it errors. Also if I convert the dvd to Divx it only works when playing it. So who has any idea how to take a DVD and make it where I can save it as a usable format for Premeire, Roxio, Pinnacle ect. I know the easy way is to play the DVD to my Camcorder but I want to know the best way. Oh yeah Thanks to anyone that can help. Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!

Your loss, its a day early and the turn out has already been impressive. Unfortunately mostly its been at the bar, but thats all good. I spent all day at Disney but when I got to the DZ I heard cool stuff about one minute skydives from 5000'ft Ray Small and fast what every girl dreams of!
