    it sure is addicting isn't it. if you've got a mentor with a rig they'll let you use, bundle up and go flick something. if you just need to jump i'm sure there's a DZ open closer than FL. you'll just have to wear layers.-- cheers diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    the DZ will have various sized jumpsuits to fit over your clothes. just wear a t-shirt and jeans or shorts. if it's colder wear long sleeves and / or long under wear under your clothes. wear comfy tennis shoes and double knot them before jumping. don't wear any jewelry. and take everything out of your pockets. also if you catch the bug and want to jump more or get liscensed: -waring: shameless plug- my home DZ Skydive Houston has great instructors and is a really fun place to learn/ jump. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    if you are downsizing to a 150, the nitron wouldn't be a good. it's a HP canopy. and going down in size and up in pefrormance at the same time is a bad idea. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    0:4:1 i owe for my 300th. did some really fun sit fly jumps with my freefly partner, who i had not jumped with in over a month due to various reasons and a string of bad weather recently. by our 3rd jump we were tearing it up like last year, oh what a feeling!! diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    dominoes, darts, if you have room to set it up. trivial pursuit (the short wersion where you get a pie for answering the question right per category with out having to land on the "pie" space. games can be won in as little as 7 questions) diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    if it's just the sticker they give out to tandems i'll be sure to see if i know who it is before honking and waving. if it's multiple sitckers (dzs, gear cos, ect..) i'll honk and wave. if it's someone i know i'll slip in behind them and call thier cell to mess with them about thier crazy driving. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    check out the article on the site about a first rig and check out some of the previous post on this subject. they all pretty much recommend talking with your instructors about gear selection, buying used for a first rig and demoing when possible. diamonds are a dawgs best friend

    no response. i'd just adjust my jump budget accordingly and jump fixed objects a lot more. and what's with the doom and gloom about oil scarcity? there is research going on for alternative fuels and engines for anything that currently runs on petroleum based fuel, including planes. diamonds are a dawgs best friend
