Welcome!! You have to come check out the wind tunnel, you won't be living far from it at all. But I concur, this really isn't the place anyone else wants to move to. Too many cloudy days. Most of us are overweight couch potatoes because there's just nothing to do here, what with the terrible winters and all...... I moved here from Cali 11 years ago, and have fallen totally in love with it. The best sight I've ever seen was a guy riding his horse down the neighborhood sidewalk and talking on his cell phone...We have the best of everything here!! Welcome, welcome. I (along with a few other dz.commers) am at the tunnel at least once a week. Usually Tuesday nights. PM or just stop by and we'll introduce ourselves.

Sorry, I guess that comment didn't come out as I had intended. If I could do all of the carving and stunts that the coaches could do, I'm sure I would feel the same as you. And my plan is to be able to some day. I'd love to be a tunnel coach, at some point. But right now I'm split between the two things...I can't afford to do both big time, so I'm fixated on getting to start my AFF. Therefore, at this time, I'm thinking of tunnel as a training tool for that. I didn't mean to offend, but I can certainly see how that was not very well expressed. Sorry!

Brad was doing tandems the weekend I took my friend. Chris Gray as well. I'm sure Carl could tell you a few more names. My friend had Travis, I think it was, and loved him. Good landing as well. I had Robert--nice and tall and his manner reminded me of a good friend of mine, so I felt very comfortable with him.

I didn't find it uncomfortable or cumbersome. It was actually quite comforting to be strapped tightly to a big, strong, cute guy. We'll have to hand pick one for you! The best part is they have to pull you right onto their lap before jumping in order to strap you in tightly enough!! My girlfriend loved that part!

I'd do a tandem. You are on sensory overload the first time out of the plane. Even the second time for me, I had a blast, but I forgot to pull at 5500'. I looked at the alti, saw it was there, and just kept practicing my turns!! Do two tandems one right after the other. It will be well worth it, especially if you let your TM know that you're not just there for a carnival ride, you're interested in proceeding to AFF. Just my 2 cents' worth. There's plenty of people who have started out without a tandem. I'm so excited for you!!!!

Hmm, I saw you last weekend in CO and I would have to disagree with your assessment. Bald is definately not un-sexy. I didn't see extra pounds. Soo not ugly.

I was 19 the first time I saw the ocean. It was love at first sight. I am not a good swimmer in the ocean, but I could play in the waves all day. (And do, every time I get the opportunity). All I require of a vacation is sun, sand, ocean.
