Oh do fuck off with that crap about defending oneself and just 'man the fuck up'. Learn to do it with just yourself FIRST. Otherwise you're falling into a category beginning with G! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

T-72's as well - I do wonder. Where do you think John? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Does the ultimate blame lie with the lender, the borrower, or the Government? I wonder!

Mate, could you brief us all up on the pertinent points instead of asking us to read it all? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Hopes rise as Americans agree to rescue the banks!
vortexring replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
I understand Cyclops (Gord Brown) has a hastily arranged meeting today to discuss the issue with Dubya. I hope to fuck Dubya doesn't listen to a word Cyclops says - but then again, it wouldn't exactly make much of a difference whatever he said. Further to that, I've read McCain has been criticised for suspending his campaign and jeopardising tonight's presidential debate to involve himself in the issue. I suppose you could think it's for one reason over another couldn't 'ya? The crux of the issue is establishing what the reasons are! Hopes rise as Americans agree to rescue the banks!
vortexring replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
A deal that would cost each American taxpayer $5300 to rescue the banking system and save the world economy from catastrophe was agreed in outline last night. Great! I now no longer have more than £35000 with any one bank and also decided to buy a far too expensive car! But it's sooooo nice and fast! Cheers guys. Still, the massive implications surrounding this financial crisis are disturbing to say the least. Has anyone been considering the security of their savings? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.' -
I enjoyed reading the transcript - cheers for providing it. He said this: AHMADINEJAD (THROUGH TRANSLATOR): "Well, of course, the hostility has not been from our end. Up to this day, we have always been interested in having friendly relations. The hostility has been one- sided on the part of American politicians. And our nation has always defended itself against that hostility. But it's clear that nations do not have any problems with one another. And we don't have any issues with the American people. But when the American government uses the language of force, we have no choice but to defend against it. We've done a lot. If you will recall, I sent a letter to Mr. Bush. The letter can be the start of a fresh endeavor and relation. We assisted in Iraq to establish safety and security, as well as a new government. And I also ask that we talk with one another in the United Nations." That's all quite interesting, considering the amount of people that have, and are still being killed in Iraq through weapon systems and technology provided by Iran - primarily to achieve this aim. Richard Dawkins website banned in Turkey
vortexring replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
It doesn't quite make sense on the surface. Why is he therefore able to hold so much influence in the courts? The likely answer is disturbing to say the least. Still, not that it's surprising to hear of Muslims abusing females.... 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" Richard Dawkins website banned in Turkey

Richard Dawkins's website has been banned in Turkey after a Muslim creationist claimed its contents had insulted him. Remarkable.... 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.' -
Church of England backs Darwin over 'noisy' creationists
vortexring replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
My main point was in post 6: "..but there is something rather significant and disturbing about this. Islam, with it's creationist views, rarely acknowledges the theory of evolution, therefore cannot fully understand astronomy, anthropology, biology, geology, palaeontology, physics or zoology. So it's the social, political and cultural implications of such ignorance which is quite disturbing. Surely a society which does not promote specialists in these areas cannot expect to evolve into a competetive economy. In rejecting all this, they believe it demonstrates moral superiority over degenerate Western values. But it's readily apparant they're rejecting science itself, which is going to really help their future generations." Perhaps the article regarding the genie has distracted you from this. Still, if it's of your interest, that's also fine. You relate it to Christian beliefs - and how other religions may see them as being ridiculous. But seeing as the topics are now about Christian and Muslim beliefs, are there any Christian nuclear scientists trying to harness the power from Genies? Essentially it's my belief that the majority of Muslim nations need to develop their cultures. And honest and truthful education for the masses would make a fine start. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.' -
The significant and brilliant Islamic achievements in the past are not the topic here. There are a few points you've said worthy of discusssion but I'll stick with one which interests me most, as the points I would have made kinda lead in this direction. You state the last 200 years have been horrible through Western Influence in regards to oil. Does this also apply to countries such as Iraq? Afghanistan? Egypt? Libya? Algeria? Indonesia? Saudia Arabia? Are the main causes of Middle Eastern problems from the past 200 years caused by Western influence? Is the leadership demonstrated by the House of Saud primarily caused through Western influence? Are the Taliban and their ideals caused by Western influence? Nonsense. Having such a simplistic view could equally allow a Westerner to blame most of significant problems in the world today on Muslims.... Church of England backs Darwin over 'noisy' creationists

It isn't about your life, as Christians believing in Heaven and Hell isn't quite relevant either. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.' -
I'm not putting all my focus on what's crazy. I thought it was quite a good article. Essentially, if you read this thread you'll understand my drift a bit better. It basically boils down to a few points regarding how the vast majority of Muslims believe in Creationism which I personally believe restricts they're social development in the modern world. Here's one of my posts: "I pretty much agree; but there is something rather significant and disturbing about this. But it's readily apparant they're rejecting science itself, which is going to really help their future generations." People might think the biggest issue concerning Muslims to be the fundamentalists. I believe it goes deeper than that, as I've already alluded to. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

Gnomes!? I doubt they'd be of much use. Nasty little fuckers. My Mrs decided to put some in the garden. One evening staggering up the garden path I knocked one and broke it's head off, which at the time I found rather amusing - I popped the head on a bamboo cane and stuck it in the middle of the lawn. They're malevolent little bastards. I look out the window now as I type, and I can see a couple staring in with their malice filled eyes..... Everytime I move one, they keep coming back! Here's the evidence: 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'

I'm glad you did mate. When I went into the kitchen I discovered I couldn't be arsed cooking a proper meal so I satisfied my red meat cravings with some runny boiled eggs, toast and HP Brown Sauce.

Obsession: Radical Islam’s War Against the West

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that's probably not true. Unless he was 10 at the time... Perhaps. Perhaps we went mental like David Shayler. But why do you think it's probably not true? Because it sounds utterly ridiculous and is entirely unsourced. Found this for you: "They may have turned to Mahmood, who admired the radical Taliban militia that controlled Afghanistan, a neighbor of Pakistan's. He also held unusual views on such topics as the role of sunspots, genies and palm-reading in modern society. A 38-year veteran of Pakistan's nuclear program, Mahmood spent years working on a process to enrich uranium, and rose to chairman of the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission. http://meaindia.nic.in/bestoftheweb/2002/03/03bow02.htm Could probably find more but I can't be arsed.
