  1. Further to the other answers, that's my point, because he isn't black. He's of mixed race. Hence if he'd been elected President of Kenya, would he be their first white President? I can see the significance for Black Americans considering it wasn't that long ago where they had to sit at the back of the bus, as one of numerous examples. I'm simply pondering over why he's reported as black through the court of public opinion as you put it. Seeing as he's of mixed race. Or maybe I'm just being pedantic. He's certainly got high expectations to live up to. Perhaps he'll start a war in Iran, making a public statement announcing: "Didn't expect that, did you f****rs".
  2. No thanks, it should come with a quick release ring pull lid. Regarding Obama, it seems a great deal is being made from the man being 'the first black President'. I suppose to a certain extent that's significant, but if the media weren't making it an issue, I think for most people it wouldn't even be an issue. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  3. He isn't black; he's of mixed race. If he'd won the Kenyan presidency, he could be Kenya's first white president. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  4. All the media outlets tell me he's the first black President, but he's of mixed race; having a black Kenyan father and white American mother, right? So if he'd been standing for the Kenyan Presidency, would he be Kenya's first white President? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  5. "Why are the Republican candidates so contemptuous of science? I suppose it's part of their general attack on "elitism," which has been surprisingly effective. We white-coated nerds in our labs, fooling around with flies at taxpayer expense, are easy targets." Further to the answer provided above (from the same original article), I'd imagine this is just another typically small-minded comment from what most people perceive to be a small-minded person. Still, she's rather pleasant on the eye, so I'm not complaining. . . . . 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" 6. I've been saying it for at least a year - so therefore bored out my tits with the political skance peculiar to this site today. Can't we still talk about guns, religion, and crazy economics; rather than some over the hill pensioner and an enigmatic black fella? 7. do you really wish death on the guy? that's harsh. How about setting off the loudest firecracker under his bed whilst he's fast asleep, then as he flies up, pour an entire bin full of iced water over him? 8. What else would make it more watchable? A boxing ring and chainsaws? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  9. Isn't it interesting Osama Obama is so popular? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  10. Hear you mate - it's all still early doors though - I'm still committed to a certain employer... I still can't even bridge onto an ATPL (RW) - I've gotta still do all the irrelevant exams! One of your lads once told me they were given their civvie wings literally on graduation!? It is mental though, when you've civvie QHI's on 600 odd hours. 12. Fog horn!? First time I've came across that one. Explain to me plz! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  13. It's only 'cos he's desperate to work as my SCUBA bitch on my tropical paradise. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  14. Flying IFR/IMC is essentially simple as you know. I'll fly at least a 'substantial' amount each 3 months to keep current. But it'll mean little in regards to paying for an IFR rating. As if I'll ever be operating at the FL's they'll be asking me questions on! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" 15. Of course - I've a green rating too. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  16. 3 mortgages!!? It's your fault why property is so fuckin' expensive! Next time I'm arrested, why don't I appoint yer as my brief so you can pay your student loans off? Mate - you'll be busy!!
  17. I read your explanation, but you do still realize it'd cost me about 20 Grand over here, and about the price of fuck all over at your place! I dunno - apparantly train drivers are on fairly stress free high wages - maybe I should do that, rather than fly oil workers over the North Sea in Winter, especially when the resources are on their way out. 18. Hello mate, Nice to hear from you - hope you're well Mike - although when all of a sudden you find yourself debt free, that freedom feeling doesn't exactly last long does it!? For the record - I'd have gone for the insanely expensive and romantic wedding in the Caribbean mate - we are talking about women; but a shiny distraction such as a platinum watch by Rolex equally works I guess... 20. YAAAAAAAAARGH! I've wasted at least half a dozen seconds of my life looking at this wank thread!!! It's given me an idea for a new one though: Title: 'YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAArgh!' Subject: 'Frickin' hit my thumb with my hammer today....' 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  21. My piss take wasn't so much in regards to this post, more towards the lunacy of your beliefs regarding 9/11. FFS! And I'm not a Sceptic either. 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  22. Seems getting your IR makes you more employable; yet because of the expense (and having only 3 attempts), wouldn't it be better just to time bar yourself to a company that'll finance it!? Lower wages for several years, sure, but better job security? I dunno - a winter season on the rigs doesn't exactly appeal - although the pay does! 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  23. Going by yer conspiracy posts I wonder if yer either receiving the derived oils by an IV source or you're connected to the moon by thin copper.
  24. Had a few instructors that flew them - were you on the rigs? Did you have to pay for your Instrument Rating at the time? 'for it's Tommy this, an' Tommy that, an' "chuck 'im out, the brute!" But it's "saviour of 'is country" when the guns begin to shoot.'
  25. Fair enough then - it's my opinion that this ridiculous credit crisis ultimately lies with the individuals borrowing the money. Sure, the banks encouraged it, sure; the Fat Cats take outrageous profits whilst fucking people over, and of course; the 'leadership' didn't grip it - and why should they? We essentially 'voted' the fools into their positions, such as our dear PM Cyclops. It ultimately lies with the consumer - who, on average, is in a debt beyond their means of paying it off within a reasonable time.
