even when you go alone to try new things, talk to someone before. there might be things you are not aware of yet. for example, if you're going to track a lot, remember to do it 90 degrees to flight run (in your case either west or east), you don't wont to find yourself where others don't expect you O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

its a big question of where you are and where the company is. her in israel , for example, ANY deal that is done remotely (phone, catalog, internet) where the customer can't inspect the item before buying, is cancel able within 14 business days. i assume (i'm no legal mind...) that in your case, the local law of where the company is, is valid. its mainly an issue of good customer care . if they still refuse, just post the details here, nothing will scare them more than bad publicity... run a search on cypres and/or TSA, you'll easily find both technical data on the AAD and documents from various airlines that approved it. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

"Personal gadgets" could pose terror threat

damn, i really does look like a bomb although i'm a skydiver and i know what every part in this picture do, i'm not so sure i'd allow it onboard if i was the screeners... O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero." -
yeap, i've had several minor unwanted turns on opening (usually to the right) and also end cell closure. i've noticed (after implementing a tip someone here gave me) that if i look straight forward and not up while its inflating, it helps a lot. i'm pretty sure its more of a packing and body position issue and less of a canopy bad design. i'm staying with mine, anyway O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

i think you got an answer. if the club requires a cypress , you need one to jump there in my DZ, AAD are a must for all, and as far as i know no one jumps without one, even foreigners. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

you might want to wait with it. having a puppy is awesome, but there is nothing i hate more than people getting a puppy and then getting rid of it when its older and "less cute" or simply not as exciting. not saying that you are, but dogs, and especially family breeds like labs, take time, money and lots of attention. ofcourse, the daily reward is endless, but still you need to make sure you can handle it. and, to check with the owner of the house too anyway, it sounds like you care, so if you treat the dog right he/she (not it...) will move with you no matter where you end up

all retrievers are great dogs but PLEASE only take one if you are willing to commit to it. labs, and retrievers in generals are family dogs, they should live like family and they reward you bettert than most families. mine was a flat-coated (black) retriever. same qualities of Labs only more athletic. sadly he died last april. i was so in love with this breed i've decided to get another one (which is not easy since they all look the same) . i should get him next october. if you need any more details, contact me, i've become an expert on retrievers and you wont be sorry with a retriever

oh, the pressure now seriously, the basic RW course will give important knowledge on technique and safety. talk to me next time you see me there, we'll go over the basics and the safety issues. and with Mordi's approval, i don't see a reason why not. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

first of all i'm very far from being a veteran. actually these days i do half freefly (alone, still learning) and half RW, with another guy who's about my level. we still suck at RW and usually i chase him around the sky (from my point of view, ofcourse...) what Atkin's group did was great and i would have joined if it wasnt saturday at 8 am . ofcourse you'll learn more with more experienced people, but there's nothing wrong with working with people in your level, as long as you keep it safe and plan the dive well. did you take the basic RW course? i think there is one this week. its the same in his (and mine) DZ. but like you all know , there's usually a mental issue for new ppl to approach veterans and ask them to "waste their time"... if you dont try, you won't get rejected but you wont get accepted either O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

you're really afraid of getting sued, huh ? anyway , i hope ppl who ask questions here know that its all advices, some better some worse, but only advices... O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

how long do the batteries last ? mine is only a few months old, with only about 40 jumps on its record, and already i had to replace the batteries. and another thing, considering i usually jump once a week, is it better to turn it off at the end of the day or leave it in standby mode ? until now i turned it off at the end of the day so i was kinda surprised when the bat didnt last longer O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

i have dual (US/Israeli) and its not a problem for both. as far as i know most countries don't have any problem with dual. at least in europe, they won't allow you to have a 3rd. if you apply for a EU passport you'll have to give up one of the other two. O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."

i'll get mine tested anyway, better bend it on the ground and wait a few weeks (?) for a replacement than to find myslef at 1000 ft hoping that the cypress will save my butt... O "Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero."
