    I know absolurtey nothing about gardening and even less about rose bushes, but it just seems reasonable here to conclude that the ground in that particular spot has something in it that's bad for roses. Parasites? Chemicals? Something like that? Matt

    Just envisioning a $10 roll of quarters, and thinking about how many rolls you could fit in a 5 gal jug...and realizing that loose quarters will fill the space more efficiently than rolls... It wouldn't surprise me if there's a couple grand in there! Matt

    Find an identical jug, empty, and weigh it. Weigh a known quantity of quarters. Weigh the jug full of quarters. Do the math. Should be pretty close if you're careful. Matt

    That's just what I was thinking! It would take some extremely careful planning to see if it would be at all possible to do this without any entanglement issues, but if you could pull it off without dieing.... You'd be like Kit Cloudkicker from Talespin! Remember how he could always skysurf behind Baloo's plane? Then release the tow line and ride the raft for a little bit in freefall. It'll be great! As long as the tow line doesn't wrap around any people or control surfaces that is. Whoever tries this, please don't die, cuz once all the bugs are worked out of the system I want to do it!

    Wings are icky far too often, that's true. I'm wondering if you've ever had them prepared properly; basting the wings in the hot sauce of your choice, bake 'em for a little while, baste again, bake awhile longer, etc. Deep frying hot wings should be a crime. Matt

    Dehydration is absolutely nothing to play around with. At a tender age I got to watch my father come very close to death from simply not drinking enough water. The problem is so easy to fix, too. Pay attention to your water intake and drink a little bit more than you think you need. Problem solved, no need to die or even get sick for so simple a thing. Matt

    Dated a blonde who spontaneously decided to be a redhead and botched the job, resulting in a dull orange-ish brown-ish color. Took forever to grow out, there was some technicality about the chemicals that made it a bad idea to redye back to her natural color, so I really felt bad for her. Whatever color you've got naturally will always be fine. Really. I personally think darker skinned ladies look very silly with blonde hair. Matt
