0:4:2 (I think) Got my A this weekend ! I feel great, finallly feel like I can call myself a skydiver! Launched a 3 way out of the door on jump 23, but it broke apart (we got flipped on our backs), and my chest strap came completely out @ 10,000 (it was a rig problem). I didn't know it was off until I deployed and felt it @ 4,000. My rig never came off my shoulders, but my hackey wasn't in the right place and took a sec to find. One of my 9 lives gone... So for the first time my chest strap came undone?? Not sure on the rules for that one! I'm just grateful it wasn't more serious!! Launched a 2 way on jump 24, but lost my grip leaving the plane (my fault!). Then on jump 25 got a 2 way out the door. Gonna work on launching 2 ways, then work on 3 ways??!! Really, a great weekend! Got to jump with a special friend on Sunday...was worth the wait!! Thanks...and you know who you are if you read this!! Can't wait until next weekend!!

I broke a rib on my left side skiing this past Jan. Hurt REALLY bad (I did finish skiing the rest of the day...I'm tough!). It was just under my tit, my bra hurt like hell, hurt to breath, hurt to sit still, just hurt. Kept me from jumpin too! BAD...BAD...BAD... But no one here is a doc...get an x-ray...they'll give you GOOD drugs. They don't wrap rib breaks anymore, just suffer through it. Took 4 wks till it stopped hurting all together, but about a week of REALLY hurting. To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! HOW'S YOURS??!!!

: 5 : 3 Firsts...did back flip, front flip & barrel roll all good enough to pass for yellow card on first attempt on jump #11, did transition jump w/DZO on jump 12, all on Sat. Did a couple of other fun jumps on Sat too. Did one jump on Sun before weather came in. Mis-calculated, landed on the runway...NOT GOOD...owe to DZO for that one...no prob though...he's a cool guy!!

Saturday was an extraordinary day for me! Did my first solo (finished AFF in Jan @ the Memorial Boogie in Mesquite, NV - see article in Parachutist). No pressures to pass anything. For the first time, it was just really, really, really FUN. My second jump was even better. All of the butterflies were gone and I just wanted to go up and jump.

0:2:4 (1 non-skydiving) Did my first solo on jump 8, did my first stand up landing and did my first 2-way (not with a jumpmaster) on my 9th jump.

The only bones I've ever broken have been done while skiing. I broke my back in 5 places 12 years ago, and then in Jan I broke a rib...and they say skydiving is dangerous. Granted, I haven't done enough jumps as I've skied, so we'll see I guess. The bad thing about the broken rib is that it grounded me from getting my first solo jump in Feb!! But I'm healed and weather permitting, my first solo will be Saturday! To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! HOW'S YOURS??!!!

I've got this recipe for French Toast topping. You mix brown sugar and butter, bring to a boil, then add a liberal amount of Jim Beam Whiskey. Bring to a boil, add some chopped pecans, and right before serving, add some cut bananas. Pour this over the French Toast and you are in business. This is REALLY good!! That's what I say every time I'm at the DOOR! DUNE is awesome! But the whole thing wouldn't fit on my sig line, so I had to shorten it, enough that it makes sense...and yes...I do love being spanked...yum!! To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! HOW'S YOURS??!!!

I'm originally from the Tacoma, WA area...we have navy bases, army bases, air force bases...and I'm an Army brat...so just sort of something I couldn't avoid, being attracted to men in uniforms. Isn't every girl lookin for someone that reminds her of her daddy?? How about you?
