  2. Yeah...right / 3 / 0 Had a couple of fun jumps on Sunday! Got more video, haven't had any taken since I've started to fly a little better. Got to meet a friend's family and really enjoyed my time with them.
  3. Pussy Cat Dolls ...I don't need a man to make it happen, I get off doing my thing...I don't need a ring around my finger to make me feel complete... can't remember what comes in this part then ...I can get off when you're not around... But don't get me wrong I want a man, I just don't NEED a man!! To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! HOW'S YOURS??!!!
  4. : 6: 0 Awesome jumps, getting much better @ turning points. Had an amazing weekend flying with my friend John!!
  5. :9: maybe Turned points for the FIRST time...VERY AWESOME!! Got some video of it! FIRST jump out of a 182...very fun. Note to self...don't jump up...that tire is awful big and can hurt (came about 6" from hitting my face). Last jump of the day...was a little expensive, but not as expensive as grue's! Turned 6,7,or 8 points, but can't remember. Started pull @ 4,000 (my normal where I feel safe). The center of the chute kept collapsing. Unstowed my brakes so I could flare and get it inflated but went immediately into a left spin that I had no way to recover from. It took both hands to get my main cut away, but got the reserve pulled easily. So, FIRST reserve ride. Had VERY BEAUTIFUL blue canopy over my head by 2,000, landed spot on and went looking for my trash. Didn't even occur to me to keep ahold of them (I couldn't have cared less about them at the time). With help, found all of my trash which was right on the taxi-way. Nice to know I can handle a high speed mal and not panic. Cool thing, the reserve was due for re-pack on the 18th! Damn this sport kicks my ass. Every weekend is something different. I LOVE IT!! Hopefully will get in 3-4 more jumps tomorrow!!
  6. I voted 6-8"...anything more just hits the gag reflex!! To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! HOW'S YOURS??!!!
  7. :6:1 (Maybe) Downsized to a 190 from 210. Exited 3-way without screwing it up (for the first time). Couple of Hop n Pops! Damn good day!! Proud of myself for lots of accomplishments! Can't wait to hit 50 next weekend!!!
  8. :4:0 Awesome weekend, a couple of 4 ways that really didn't work great, but were fun. Jumped with the DZO (haven't done that since jump 7) and another up-jumper. Was nervous as hell, made a 360 and part of a donut, but not much else, mostly my fault. It was cool of them to jump with me! Had a fun compulsive flyer competition, won a little something! All around had a great day and hit 40 jumps too!

    Red Wings

I've seen a similar thread to this here in the Bonfire, a while back. There was big debate as to whether it is sex or oral or both. I think if a guy has the courage to do either, he deserves his Wings!!
  10. I guess her friends and family should respond to your post more than I...but I hope someday my X's have as good a tribute to me as you do to Shannon.
  11. We are fairly close in jump numbers, and at this point, each and every jump is an accomlishment. But, we also need to jump as often as possible. So, I pack first (I pack myself). You need to be doing as many jumps as you can and need to get on the next available load! There's time to log at the end of the day. For me, my log book is saying, I did okay, badly, great, but I landed and survived. I have some smartass comments in mine made by my friend I jump with. Those are important to me too.
  12. Dang, that's funny too! Good job cherring us all up today! We needed it!
  13. My e-mail to Mr. Lee and his response... Hi Lora, Thanks for your e-mail and the positive feedback. My goal from the moment I started reporting this piece was indeed to remember Shannon as sensitively as I could, and to make sure that she just wasn't another name, that she was someone many others will miss greatly. Henry Lee SF Chronicle -----Original Message----- From: lora@quattrografx.com [mailto:lora@quattrografx.com] Sent: Wed 5/31/2006 11:42 AM To: Lee, Henry Cc: Subject: Shannon Dean Dear Mr. Lee, Thank you so much for your article about Ms. Dean. I didn't know her, except from posts on Skydiving forums. She was a funny lady, and loved by many, as you can see by DZ.com. Our skydiving/BASE community is hurting. Thousands of dollars have already been raised in her name, to go to a memorial page in Parachutist magazine (a USPA publication), and then thousands left over to go to her favorite charity (I believe it is going to "Best Friends Animal Shelter"). People who didn't know her, myself included, have donated money. Skydiving isn't a cheap sport, and many people don't have a lot of extra money, but to my knowledge, more than $4000 has been raised in just 2 days. That says a LOT! Four years ago, my father, a well known physician, died in Washington in a fairly sensational skiing accident (he fell from an 800 ft. cliff). We experienced good and bad reporting at the time. The bad, honestly, hurt our family at a time we didn't need anymore hurt. The good reporting was comforting. I am sure your article has brought comfort to her family and friends. Nice job, and I don't often pay reporters compliments. Sincerely, Lora Wight
  14. Years ago, I was working a reception job, and announced a call for one of the salesmen, said it was his wife. Well he answered... "Hi hot stuff, this is your hunka chunka burnin love." Well, needless to say, it wasn't her, it was a vendor. He wasn't very happy with me...
  15. I didn't know Shannon, except from her posts here, which usually made me lough out loud @ my desk and people wondered what I was laughing about. I will miss that every day! Few people get to leave this earth doing what they loved most in life. What a blessing...says a lot about what kind of person God thinks Shannon is. To borrow a line from Squeak...MY LIFE ROCKS!! 16. Not weak, but sleepy, relaxed, satiated. I always sleep better!!
  17. :5:4+ Had a great weekend! Took off early from work on Friday to jump a Pac750 (first), first Sunset Tracking Dive (didn't stay with them at all...surprise, surprise), first 4-Way, first time jumping my own pack job (have packed friends LOTS, but, have been on student rigs and don't always re-jump my same rig, thus am not allowed to pack it
