  1. I found a little one the other day...from around 7000' to 3000' http://vimeo.com/12406664 HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  2. just adding that important bit HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  3. My experience: My rig has a freefly hackey (normal hackey with tuck tab). In about 800 jumps I've never used two motions to extract it. It really doesn't feel any different at pull time, at least for me. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  4. I dont have AAD and thats the only reason Im not participating on medium/big ways. Im ok with 6-8 ways, but bigger than that I have to pass. I took this decision about 2yrs ago after a near-miss that was gonna hurt. ye I know, Im a BIg PusSIe. This is also a way so that my friends dont have to think if they go after my unconscious ass or not. I broke my rule 6 months ago with a 12way and I survived HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  5. Yeah...I haven't looked at the PF recommendations but now I see they are equally absurd. And I'm not talking only about safety, I talk also about the learning curve. Doing 76 jumps on an Acro doesn't mean you are ready for the X-Bird or similar suit. We should do 100+ jumps on a small suit and do everything with it, then 200 on a medium sized suit and again do it all on that one. Then move to an advanced suit until you get bored to death and so on. Do the progression like canopy downsizing. I think it will make you a better flier in the long run. But that's my opinion, and what do I know? HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  6. I've shared my thoughts about this matter before, more specifically about the recommendations on the Tony Wingsuits site. I think they are absurd. Doing something 75 times doesnt makes you an expert in anything in life, not even at picking your nose. But, I have a little more than 200 WS jumps and the guys that wrote that have 15x my experience. So probably they know something that I dont, or like I said before maybe Im a BiG PuuSSie. Anyway, Im sure I can fly a SuperMegaMach-Bird 7.9, and Im sure I can land a Velo79. That doesnt makes it acceptable or wise. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  9. My understanding is that there were no versions 1-3... The 2 different line sets are the original configuration and the new version introduced in 2005, therefor the name V.05 lineset. Theres a good chance Im wrong, but thats how I think it goes HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  10. dood, if u wanna be a spelling nazi, do it right...u missed 'catagory'. Thanx for vids Jarno...looking fwd for the next one. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  14. This is how Ive done it (attachments), all with mounts and extensions from GoPro. Depending on how your suit is made you may need more extensions to go around the fabric from the ankle to the outside of the suit. I have to use different setups for the 2 suits I jump regularly. warning: boring video, just to show the view http://vimeo.com/7016933 HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  15. yo! Is this conversion made to other models? Can I convert a Raptor into the R-Bird? Or an Aerobat into something-Bird? -y HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  21. On this jump me and my brother exchange leads a couple times. He starts on his back, then me, then him again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RyDInrwEF_M You can use any part of your body to start the transition. The problems would be keeping the heading and not losing too much altitude by going head low. Check out what works best for you. The key is practice, practice and practice. And always have fun. If it doesnt work, laugh about it and try again HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  22. YAY!!! See, I can do more than troll on here! Not that fast! It was your instructors who said that, and even Sangi may have said something productive....once....maybe . To the OP, Im no expert but Im gona take the liberty to suggest something. Get on the floor in the freefall position and do 98324750 heel clicks. Maybe that helps with the legs issue. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

    water landings

Remember the waves and currents. Think of a canopy in moving water, it sure pulls you whereever the flow is going. And breaking waves pull you down, Ive been surfing for 23 years. And is gona get worse once the sand gets in there. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
