Do you HAVE to choose 1 DZ? I went to CO for 4 days and hit 3 DZs and the tunnel. edit: and about the altitude, my DZ is also at sea level. I just took it slow and made my turns a bit higher than normal. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

Im no expert, but it sounds like maybe you are keeping the leg wing a bit open during the transition? Anyway, this video might help: http://www.flylikebrick.com/playmovie_vimeo.php?vimeoid=11310699 (and the other videos there) HISPA #93 DS #419.5

Yep, agree on everything, the key part for me is "if necessary"... All landings are different, well not ALL but you know what Im saying. If Im going faster than I can run, Im sliding. If I got too much 'downward speed', Ill flare and tip toe From my jumps I just remember one time where I HAD to PLF...Went too agressive on an outlanding when I should've take it slow (leason learned), miss-judged approach a little and found a little tree at the end of my line...had to use whatever lift I had left on the canopy to hop over the tree and dropped on the other side bout 8 feet like there was no canopy. Did a ninja PLF/roll and ended on my feet like 10' short of some barbwire fence (its on video). If I had tried to stood up or slide THAT, I would've needed help to get out of there. So, sliding for me is just another tool, just gotta know when to use it. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

I see you all talking bout 3 different kinds of slides, and I dont recommend 2 of those. -2 feet forward sliding on butt. You gonna hurt your tailbone. -2 feet forward, body sideways, sliding on hip? I dont see how that can be done hanging on a harness. -1 leg forward, other leg bent under butt. This is how I do it all the time when is too fast to run it out. Slide and keep flying the canopy until you are going slow enough, finish your flare and stand it up. Dont do it wearing shorts HISPA #93 DS #419.5

Common give the dude a break. At that jump numbers he doesnt know any better, and hes just doing what hes been told is ok to do...I blame his instructors 100% I would jump with him and laugh all the way down... and maybe he has a cute sister, or 3 HISPA #93 DS #419.5

talking bout skills I think this guy must have less than 30 jumps, and the one really irresponsible here is the TM for allowing him to lurk. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

ohhh yeah, very true! Also, you are talking about an average of 1 jump every weekend, thats not bad. Just do it and eventually you'll find a way to jump more, being a packer or eating less or both HISPA #93 DS #419.5

I have that same helmet with the mount on that same place but I used the curved mount, it fits better than the flat mount. (more adhesive making contact with helmet). I guess I have maybe 100 WS jumps with the GoPro there and no problems. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
