  1. At his jump numbers this advice is irresponsible. First, Im not giving any advice. Read the thread title again, Im answering the question of what I would buy. Second, if the OP takes it as an advice and follows it, he would be the irresponsible for doing what a stranger (me) says on a forum and for not doing his homework and not following the recommendations for wingsuiting. Third, yeah HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  6. I was waiting to do more jumps with it, only done one. But heres what I got from that flight. Before anything let me say that Im not qualified to be giving wingsuit reviews. I only got 148 ws jumps, of wich 144 are on a Aerobat (no grippers), 2 jumps with a Raptor, and 2 more on a RigorMortisI (jumps 12 and 13). So I can only compare to the Aerobat, and they are not build for the same purpose. 75% +- of my jumps are solos.... So theres my lack of expirience Now the "review": The suit was very stable and easy to fly. Since Im not used to grippers, I was doing practice pulls and playing with the grippers, not going for time or distance, I was just feeling the suit. No issues on deployment. According to the Viso setting where you see fall rate every second, fall rate was in the low 50's with some moments in the high 40's. Also this was the first time I cheated the Protrack into thinking I pulled after 17 seconds. Freefall time was about the same as the Aerobat, but I pulled 2000' higher than normal. That was without trying to go slow. I chose a shorter spot than normal, and I was not concentrating on distance, so I cant say much about that. All I can say is that I felt the speed, I could see the ground moving quick and had to do some S turns to stay close to where I wanted to be open. Ill say something more when I fly it 20+ more times. Attachement to see what Im "comparing" with. Aerobat on top. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

    Tandem Flybys:

Ive done some flybys to the same TI with his permission. Many here know my DZO, and you know that if I buzz him without his approval I better land in the swamp and never go back to the DZ. We use the same plan always but we go over it before each jump. He or I will also talk to the passenger and explain whats gonna happen after opening. He dumps around 5500 and turns upwind, I exit around 5 seconds after them always keeping the drogue insight, and I start setting me up so that my approach will be diagonal to them, coming from the front at 45degrees in a direction that will put me around 100' away from them and have me opening away from the airplane's line of flight and canopy traffic. Most of the times the approach is from the TI right to left, putting me north of everybody. When I fly by them, he turns the canopy around so they can follow my flight and watch my opening. The TI seems to enjoy it, I like it, and the passengers love it. Like when the video guy ask them what was the favorite part of the jump, and they say: 'when I saw the guy flying with the bat suit'. There is even 1 jumper that confessed to me that my flyby is the reason they took up the sport. Almost forgot, if the spot or anything else is not perfect for the planned approach (ex. TI cant afford to turn upwind and wait for me, etc) I abort the mission, he knows that if Im not there by 3500' it means Im not going. Has not happened yet. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  10. Im gonna give it a shot at being a reeeeal man, tomorrow Im spitting in freefall.... So...if Im leading a tracking jump on my back and I spit up, is it gonna stay in my burble and land on my chest? or is it gonna go into someone elses goggles? HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  11. hahah i guess so, but c'mon give the guy a break. just a couple of months flying jumpers, he just landed, and he didnt knew he was being recorded. some bad words are acceptable and olimpia, that is exactly what happened, bootie caught on the little step. but in this case the pilot was alone.
