  1. Hey u all This was stored in a plastic bag inside a closet for the last 10+ yrs. DOM is October 87. The owner said he did 10 jumps with it. The lines and fabric look and feel like new. All the line attachements and stitchings on the canopy appear to be in perfect condition. My guess is that the canopy has less than 50 jumps. The A lines in the center cell are the thick kind, no cascades. Maybe CREW set up? (see attachements). Brake lines below the cascades are also thick and red. No slider was found in the bag. The reserve was also there. Laser 7. Same DOM. How much is this main worth? If anything... And what were they used for? Students, CREW, accuracy??? BASE training? Were all Laser models 7 cells? Just checking if there are any outs... thanks HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  2. I would go personally to those 10 DZs and check them out. Talk to the jumpers, staff, and the instructors and choose the one were you feel more at home. They will become your new family. HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  3. It was my jump 245 when I took my FFC with Joni on August 31, 2007 during Couch Freaks. Later that day I went solo for my 2nd WS jump wich happend to be a Pink Mafia load, and for some reason the pilot took the Skyvan to 16500'. I think 4 different girls flashed him. Thank you ladies, that felt like I flew to Canada and back to Iowa. Same boogie next year I did my 100th WS jump. HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  17. Yep...18mph+ is normal here. Except in the morning and some late afternoons (sunset). I have a GREAT idea! After the Friday night all u can drink rum open bar party, we could do a high altitude beach jump at 3am, wearing dark goggles and having a non-local flying the base. Its PR, what could possibly go wrong? HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  18. This is a great example of wanting something and doing "the work" to get there... HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  19. Just to compare readings of 3 devices used on the same jump. Completly different numbers in each one. Who is more reliable? I think video is the best tool to get the real freefall time. And then use 1 device to get the distance fallen?, and get the avg speed with that? But then theres the variable about what exactly is the device recording as opening altitude. VISO(wrist)- exit 5000'-opening 2400'-time 29s-fallrate 75mph avg PROTRACK(inside helmet)- exit 5100'-opening 2500'-time 27s-fallrate 77mph max WINTEC 201(inside helmet)- exit 5400'-opening 2300'-time 33s-fallrate 83max, 62mph avg HISPA #93 DS #419.5
  20. ? JP invented atmonauti in 1745. That Marco guy just made it pretty with the color coordinated suits and the G-Force helmets. And thats a FACT! HISPA #93 DS #419.5

  22. Im seeing a trend in the replys that worries me... And that is loosening the chest strap before releasing the breaks. What if theres something wrong when you pop the brakes? Your handles are not gonna be were you think they are, maybe even unreachable. Makes sense? Think about that. I changed my routine after thinking about it. My sequence is: 01. Unzip arms if Im on a wingsuit. 1. Riser turn to where I wanna be heading. 2. Collapse slider. 3. Pop the brakes 4. Control check 5. Loosen chest strap 6. Unzip legs if Im on a wingsuit All this while checking for traffic. I turn my camera off after everyones landed, in case something interesting happens. I know heavy loaded canopies are gona haul ass when you pop the breaks, and youll have less time for the rest, but I can loosen my chest strap with hands on toggles flaring a little.
