  1. I'm not a Republican, so I don't vote in the Primary. - Dan G
  2. Are you in a clan? I'm DanG351 in VolcanoTaco1. - Dan G
  3. I live in Cantor's district. Everyone, including Cantor, thought he was a lock for the nomination. He was polling well ahead. I suspect that more moderate voters didn't bother to show up because they thought it was a done deal. - Dan G
  4. And there was no reason for you to comment at all, yet you still chose to do so. - Dan G
  5. Fascism (e.g. Nazis) is to the far right of the traditional political right/left spectrum. Communism (true Communism, not really practiced anywhere on a large scale) is to the far left of the traditional political right/left spectrum. Capitalism and Socialism are not anywhere on the right/left spectrum, because they are economic systems, not political. And a easy rule of thumb, if a country feels the need to put a descriptor in their name (People's Republic of China) it's unlikely that their system has anything to do with that descriptor. - Dan G
  6. Okay Professor. You are technically correct. The Bill of Rights was ratified a few years after the Constitution. However, the ideas contained therein were drafted to assuage the fears of the Anti-Federalists, without whose support the Constitution would not have been ratified. In legal terms, they were separated by a few years. In concept, they went hand-in-hand. - Dan G
  7. Taking the poll at face value, I'd like to point out that "most trusted" is in no way related to "best". - Dan G
  8. Ya, you need to learn the Communism and Socialism aren't the same thing. It's also too bad you can't go back in time and tell the fighters in the Spanish Civil War that they were both fighting for the same thing. - Dan G
  9. It's implied when you argue that the Nazis were leftists because they had the word "Socialist" in their name. You must think North Korea is a Democracy, too. - Dan G
  10. The Constitution and Bill of Rights were ratified at the same time. - Dan G
  11. No, but many of the anti-government militias are based around white supremacist groups. They seem to have a problem with it, as do many others if you believe their recruitment is up. - Dan G
  12. Judicial Watch is not a peer reviewed journal. I have no desire to get on their spam list. - Dan G
  13. Don't you hate it when people turn your own flawed logic around on you? - Dan G
  14. This is the reference to "the last five years": They aren't talking about the police become more tyrannical in the last five years, they are talking about the rise of anti-government militants in the last five years. I'm sure it is just coincidental that a black man was elected President five years ago. - Dan G
  15. What about the Republican Congressman who divulged information from a classified briefing? You haven't objected, so, by your logic, you must be okay with it. - Dan G
  16. Who is they? To use for what? What are you talking about? - Dan G
  17. I have to put in my name, address, phone number, and e-mail to read their report? No thanks. - Dan G
  18. I'd like to note that this information (if true) was released the the media by a Congressman after a CLASSIFIED briefing. And you wonder why Congress wasn't informed ahead of time. - Dan G
  19. You think they didn't see themselves as legitimate before? These guys think they are doing God's work. - Dan G
  20. Very much in doubt. I'm not saying the guys were saints, but I don't believe any of them were directly tied to 9/11. - Dan G
  21. Oops. Apparently this is why I'm an engineer and not a writer - Dan G
  22. Sure they will. But will they be able to design new robots? Anyone who doesn't think that engineering is not a creative profession, doesn't know much about engineering. - Dan G
  23. She was just as covert as the CIA station chief that started this thread. - Dan G
  24. Agree 100%. I love you, man. - Dan G
