It's fake because they are trying to appear as if an impartial 3rd party created the reports. That would give the reports more weight. Which is more likely to be an indication of Johnny math skills? Riots over a shoting turn into free jordans and 40's
DanG replied to Anvilbrother's topic in Speakers Corner
Because riots require a concentrated population, like an inner city. Guess what race inner city people disproportionately are. Kind of hard to get a good riot going in the suburbs or countryside. - Dan G -
None of those links have anything new to say about Benghazi. They're all just echo chamber BS trying to keep people like you pissed off. - Dan G

If you define 'alarmists' as people who say: Then it's rather trivial to claim that alarmists all think that all warming is man-made, and only disaster for the planet will result, and no adverse weather event shall be viewed as natural any more and fossil fuels mist be stopped at all costs or we're fucked. The problem with your posting history is that you sometimes refer to anyone who believes climate change is real and a problem that needs to be addressed as alarmists. Then, in another post, you'll throw the rest of the bullshit in there, and then get all indignant about those damn alarmists. Most people are neither alarmists nor hardcore deniers. Characterizing everyone as one or the other is just a silly debating tactic that's frankly quite transparent. - Dan G

Cool. Did you ever think about joining the military? - Dan G

Nowhere did Stumpy say that. I think the interpretation is highly impeachable. As do most people, quite obviously, or we wouldn't be having this debate. - Dan G

Well sure, but the thread is about physics "proving" God exists. BTW, your new signature is stupid, and not exactly a great example of positive words of encouragement from the Conservative side. - Dan G

Sure, but add in that the neighborhood HOA declared that the shooter had to live in a shed in the other guy's backyard, and the other guy prevented him from leaving, rationed and controlled the food, clothing, and medical supplies he had access to, and kept taking little parts of the shed away because God said to. I'm not defending Hamas, but it's not like Israel isn't intimately involved in everything that happens to the people of Gaza. - Dan G

He also missed the part where Ron said he didn't want to talk about it anymore since there was nothing in it for him. That's so stereotypically Conservative it's almost ironic. - Dan G

Oh, it wasn't you bitching that Amazon never responded to your question about what liberals do to reach compromise? It wasn't your bitching that started this whole discussion? - Dan G

Then stop bitching when other people don't answer your questions. - Dan G

Thanks for the sermon. Care to respond to the topic at hand? - Dan G

If you're going to dilute the meaning of faith that much, then sure, we all have faith. That level of faith ("I have faith that the sky did not turn green when I went inside") is not what any of us are talking about. - Dan G

Not wanting you to proselytize during work hours is a pretty universal desire, regardless of the industry. I wouldn't confuse that with being liberal. On the other hand, I've had only some contact with social worker types, in the context of the VA mostly, and although they certainly seemed pretty stereotypically liberal, I seem to recall a lot of Christian stuff all over their offices. Again, that's not liberalism, that's bureaucracy. As someone else pointed out, regardless of the political bent of an organization, funding is the bureaucratic lifeblood. So, am I to assume one of the Conservative values you wanted to express was man's dominion over woman? If so, I hope you can understand why that Biblical lesson might not comfort a battered woman. Can you help me understand why you think their viewpoint was an example of liberalism? That seems very strange. Perhaps they thought you were trying to substitute nurturing classes for jail time, or were expressing a "boys will be boys" attitude? Do you think all that happened just because you were a conservative Christian? - Dan G

I thought nuclear reactors were designed so that gravity would drop the cooling rods into place in the event of a power failure. Is that not the case? - Dan G
