You really need to do a little research on your hero, James O'Keefe. Based on his past actions, the chances that these new videos are not doctored or edited is near zero. Of course, since he's telling you what you already believe you'll buy anything he says, but the rest of us look at him like the clown he is. - Dan G

Are you going to try and work this into every thread? - Dan G

Very impressive Comrade. You've bought into it hook, line, and sinker. If you think the US are the bad guys in Syria, you haven't been paying attention. - Dan G

Everyone who defends Trump on this is a horrible human being. Period. Full stop. - Dan G

That's the right thing to do, and what I would want someone else to do for. Not as good as the first option, but morally defensible. That's not in-between at all. That's using the police station as an accomplice in your stealing the money. Taking the ID out of the wallet is not a morally defensible act. No, the third one is straight up wrong. I suppose that's better than taking all the cash, but it's not as good as giving all the money to charity. - Dan G

No, it's a stupid question. The Golden Rule has been around for a long time. It hasn't changed, regardless of the cesspool of liberal thinking Ron believes has ruined the world. - Dan G

I agree, but what I don't agree with is the idea that because Hillary might be bad Donald would be equally bad so therefore it doesn't matter. There are many gradations of "bad". Hillary will not be nearly as bad for the country or world as Donald. - Dan G

California OKs driverless cars on (a few) public roads
DanG replied to billvon's topic in The Bonfire
Of course. I didn't say it was right around the corner, or that it would be easy. I just said that a helicopter or quadcopter type of flying car was more likely to be successful than an airplane type car. BTW I'm an aerospace engineer. - Dan G -
California OKs driverless cars on (a few) public roads
DanG replied to billvon's topic in The Bonfire
If it were a conventional helicopter, the rotor blades could fold up and be stored along the long axis of the car. For a quadcopter type design the rotor housings could also fold up. I don't see any fundamental problem making the vehicle the same width as a regular car. - Dan G -

DanG replied to billvon's topic in The Bonfire
Helicopter cars are more likely to be successful that airplane cars. They solve a lot of the infrastructure problems, and the public is in love with helicopter style drones. Autolanding a malfunctioning helicopter by computer is also safer for those on the ground. - Dan G -
As opposed to, "I opened low because Bob bet me a case that he could open lower." People will always find ways of being stupid. - Dan G

What do you do when countries won't take their immigrants back?
DanG replied to yoink's topic in Speakers Corner
I think it depends on the person's status. Legal permanent residents should do their time and get released like everyone else. If they don't have permanent resident status, then I suppose deportation should be attempted, but if their country of origin won't take them, they should be released. If they did their time, they have (in theory) paid their debt just like a citizen. - Dan G -
If I'm supposed to get your entire argument from three words ("Ask Tawana Bradley"), then perhaps English Composition 101 might help you more. If you think that's an example of a false flag operation, perhaps you also need help on your vocabulary. - Dan G
-
One example of a false flag type incident doesn't prove that all incidents are false flag operations, or even that false flag operations are common. Unless you're going to claim that most of the racial abuses since the Jim Crow era were false flag operations you really don't have much of a point. - Dan G
-
I heard John Adams wasn't even born in the United States of America. Right thinking Americans don't give much thought to the writings of some anti-American (probably Muslim or Jewish) foreigner. - Dan G
-
Ah, the old unsupported "false flag" claim. Great way to dismiss the issues. Remember Sandy Hook was claimed by some to be a false flag operation perpetrated by Obama to grab our guns. Much more likely that these actions were legitimate examples of hatred. - Dan G

What do you do when countries won't take their immigrants back?
DanG replied to yoink's topic in Speakers Corner
We're not talking about illegal migrants. We're talking about legal migrants who commit crimes. I don't understand why anyone would think these people aren't our problem. Treat them like any other criminal. - Dan G -
Not watching football or baseball? Why do you hate America? - Dan G

Fair enough. I still think Trump is worse. I live in Virginia. A vote here for anyone but Clinton is a vote for Trump. I'm voting for Clinton. - Dan G
-
Agreed. I don't think he's evil, I just think he's really spacey. I don't get the extreme dislike of Clinton. I have a mild dislike of her, but there's no arguing that she's intelligent, experienced, and qualified. I'd rather vote for an unlikeable qualified person than vote for a completely unqualified person. - Dan G

I attended a church service last week. The droning of the masses at prearranged cues was so cultish it was chilling. "Thanks be to God" and "It is right to give him thanks and praise" said by hundreds of people in a low monotone was really creepy. I generally agree with your assessment. Say anything enough times as it starts sounding like the truth. Say it with a group of people who all agree and it becomes indistinguishable from the truth. - Dan G

The more I read and hear religious talk (all religions, not just Christianity) the more I realize how completely insane it all is. - Dan G

I would vote Libertarian if they could find a candidate who's not a joke. So far no success. - Dan G
