    All true. Good luck getting the FAA to update the FARs. I suppose someone could ask for an FAA ruling on whether a D license is equivalent to a Master license. That may have already been done. If you go by the strict letter of the FARs, then all Tandem Instructors using a USPA license need to be grounded. - Dan G

    You're assuming the statements are false. The FAA requires a tandem instructor to hold a "Master" parachutist license. That's not a USPA rule, it is an FAA rule. - Dan G

    Tandem students are not required to be USPA members. Which drop zones are bringing in 50 AFF students every weekend? The Skydiving Museum is a separate entity. None of your USPA dues goes to funding the museum. And it is going to be located in Florida, not Virginia. Yet. Keep killing civilians (tandem students) and see how long that lasts. - Dan G

    If this happened in the Army there would be multiple courts martial up the chain. The officer who fired the fatal round is not the only one to blame. There should have been multiple layers of safety checks. This story goes beyond sad to straight up infuriating. - Dan G

The sad thing is that she's not winning them 100 to 0. (And please don't anybody bother spinning this into the idea that I think Hillary is perfect and everyone should vote for her.     I don't have a problem with secretaries (you assumed they were women) adjusting the thermostats. The problem was in a previous building where I worked only the receptionist was allowed to adjust the thermostat, and she kept it cold as fuck. She also controlled the thermostats for the whole building, even areas where she didn't go. It wasn't her fault, it was management deciding to treat their employees like children. There are only six people in my current building. We're probably the best people to decide what the temperature should be, not the plant manager's secretary who works in a building 1/2 mile away. - Dan G

    They put lock boxes on the thermostats in my new office, but they had left the keys in them when we moved in. Some enterprising person grabbed the keys, hid them, and told everyone in the building where they were. Now we get to control the thermostat, not some secretary in another building. - Dan G
