I know that things don't come across well on the internet sometimes, so I'm just going to clarify that this isn't judgmental...this is pure ignorance! I really don't understand where in the Bible it states that one sin is worse than another. Everyone sins. Just by judging those who sin, aren't you sinning even more? Okay, when it comes to sex, it seems that almost anything but sex in the missionary position for procreation is a sin. I do not know many adults that haven't sinned in that aspect, so if you've sinned in the sexual aspect, how can you judge other people who are sinning, too? It's not just sex either. How come no one is trying to outlaw lying? Is lying less of a sin than sex? Does it depend on the circumstance? I really am just confused on what makes one sin worse than another. That's a really good question. I emailed Ward since he's the main man for the fundraiser, but he doesn't check dz.com very much. I'll let you know what he says! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Thanks! You rock! I definitely haven't been working hard; I've just been posting a lot!

Wow! That's your argument?!?! Honestly, I don't care what people call themselves. It doesn't change who I am. I am very secure with who I am and what others call themselves doesn't challenge that. I don't usually agree with King Daley, but he made a great point by saying something like, "Gay marriage doesn't destroy the institution. Divorce does." People need to put their energy into fighting worthy battles. Same sex couples do not infringe on anyone's rights. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Woo hoo!!!! I can't wait!!! Wow! It starts pretty early. That can only mean one thing: huge amounts of trouble caused. My lovely grandmother may join us, so hopefully she doesn't get too drunk and cause a scene. Now, for the important questions: 1) Which hotel is everyone staying at? 2) Who is offering themselves up as love slave??? (I may bid on behalf of Phreezone...unless he decides to show up! ) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

This is what's the most annoying: I can still see a vague picture of the one guy that stood next to me. He wasn't there long. He only played a time or two (my guess was that when he put money on the table, he reached for my wallet). But they don't have video of anything! Grrr... Yeah, I should've been on my guard better. I was paranoid the whole time I was in Spain. I'm paranoid whenever I walk to work. I'm paranoid in malls. I should've been more paranoid when I go to a place that's known for having people carrying large amounts of cash. I should've just taken my id and thrown my cash in my front pocket. (My jeans are tighter. If anyone tried to pickpocket out of those, I have a feeling wildblue or I would notice! ) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Faking it is like lying. A woman who lies more probably fakes it more. I don't really get "faking it" all the time. You'll never get enjoyment if you fake what you get enjoyment from. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

I'm just writing this post as a warning to all. Please don't call me dumb, because I'm already well aware of that. I don't really need/want any pity, since the free buffet we got was all the pity I needed! (I can't remember how many desserts I had!) Saturday afternoon, we went to go check into the Trump hotel in beautiful Gary, IN. Unfortunately, we were a bit early, so they told us to come back in 2 hours and our room would be ready. Their trick of getting us to head to the casino boats worked, and we went to entertain ourselves for a few. We headed to the emptier side of the craps table, I pulled my wallet out, threw $20 on the table for some chips, and put my wallet back in my coat pocket (which was in front of me over my arm.) I lost as much as I was comfortable with losing, and I went to go get my wallet. It was gone!!!! I knew right then that it had been stolen, but we checked the ground first before telling security. I told the guy my story, and he was going to go check the tapes. While he was talking to the surveillance people, wildblue searched the premises for shady looking people with my wallet (they have atms there that don't require a pin when you use your credit card...it made me nervous), and I called my credit cards' customer service to cancel both of them. The security guy came back informing me that the cameras in the casino do not have a good shot of me or the person to my left. Unfortunately, the cameras got absolutely nothing but the table. So, I filled out a police report, we searched the garbage cans, but my wallet will never be mine again. They gave us a free dinner that night at the buffet (I asked for some alcohol because I really needed some at that point. I didn't get it). I didn't lose much. I only had another $20 in my wallet (they probably thought they'd be stealing much more. I laugh at them for that.) There had been no use on my credit cards. Somebody actually found one of my credit cards and turned it in (that was the only thing found, though.) Just a warning to all: be careful!!! I usually carry my purse over my shoulder, and I keep my hand over my purse. I've managed to go to many places and Marshall Field's downtown during the Christmas season and never have any problems. I'm old, so the lights and noise at the casino must've confused me! I really thought, "That will never happen to me!" It did. I feel dumb. At least I don't carry much cash ever. Never let your guard down when it comes to your money! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

No, what I find most often is that conformists tend to be less happy than non-conformists (within reason....I like that all of my coworkers conform to the standard of using a toilet.) I know plenty of unhappy people on both sides of the intelligence fence. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

But you can remember which drivers are a part of which team and can sit there and stare at cars going around in circles for 4 hrs? Not having the memory or attention span is different from just not giving a crap! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

I avoid crappy people, too, but I don't believe everything I hear. And, if everyone listened to everything said, we wouldn't have much gear to jump or places to go jump at. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

But, that's because you're a dz.com poster. Dz.com posters now have justified concerns of other posters contacting their employers. Hence, it's a dz.com issue. Those who don't post here and don't worry about losing their job because of someone contacting their boss about their computer use...they don't really have to worry about this person. Sure, what the person did was pretty spineless. There are much better and more effective ways to bring your enemies down. But, those who don't post here really don't care what might happen to their job because of posters here. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

Vallerina replied to CanuckInUSA's topic in The Bonfire
No, I wouldn't care to either. However, in any setting, be it a dropzone, work, social settings, people talk/gossip constantly. Just because someone comes up to me and says, "Hey, Joe Smith tried to get Billy Bob fired! We have proof!" doesn't mean that I'm really going to care all that much if I don't know Billy Bob. You hear crap about people all the time. Those who aren't a part of dz.com really don't care about what happens on it. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -

Yeah! I completely slammed Richmond, and they gave me a free jump for it! I have you beat! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning -
I like my personal space. I didn't really want to either (errr...actually...I didn't. I did sl.). I felt really awkward having to straddle someone and being straddled by strangers, too. Of course, that's all been changed, but I can understand why some people really don't want their personal bubble invaded. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

What will be said by the jumpers at my dz (even most that are on dz.com): Who the hell cares??? It won't. I never said you did. All I said was that they would be welcomed at my dz....people wouldn't give them nasty stares...talk shit...etc. People would be friendly, invite them on jumps, and hand them a beer at the end of the day. Use your own advice. How could this follow them around if most jumpers don't really care about the drama that goes on on dz.com??? I'm sure they'll be allowed to jump anywhere. I doubt many dzos are out of their mind enough to deny them at their dz. I'm also saying that they'll probably be welcomed with open arms at most dzs as well. You're kidding, right? While it sucks and all, most people from my dz aren't on dz.com, and they don't really care about the drama associated with it. The person who did it would be more than welcomed to jump there. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
