  1. BUMP! Hehehe Thanks to everyone who has helped out Bo and Paula with their awesome dz! Btw, I heard that the hotel of choice for those of us requiring one is Comfort Suites. Who's up for some drunken hottubbing? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  2. Who says you would? I said MY company pays 75% of the cost of dependents..MY company, not you. Yeah yeah...I know...not answering anymore on this thread...that's fine. I still am, though! If a company pays for dependents and spouses, then I am paying, too. Instead of getting part of the profits that I helped the company make, it is going to others who don't work for the company. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  3. Bump! So, I talked to Ward for a bit last night, and I'm so excited about the fundraiser!!!! He's putting a lot of work into this (all by himself so he can take all the credit), so come March 6th, he's going to be getting wasted. Trust me, seeing Ward drunk is worth the trip to Elkhart! Hell, seeing me drunk is worth a trip anywhere! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  4. So, I have a question. I am single. I have never been married nor do I have kids. Why should I have to contribute to the healthcare of spouses and dependents? What if I believe that the institution of marriage is just a way of the government trying to control us? What if I'm completely against marriage and find it immoral? (Actually, I used to think that people who needed a piece of paper to stay together forever were weak individuals. I don't think that way anymore, but I wasn't alone in having those thoughts.) If you think something is different or "wrong," and you try to justify it by trying to prove how it infringes on you, make sure that you've never infringed on anyone else in the same manner. 5. Just kinda curious here......there's already 11 inches, and it's supposed to snow a ton tomorrow there, what's the likelihood of the Otter getting there by Saturday? I'd prefer not to lug my gearcase around if I don't need to (also, I'd really prefer not to take my gear into downtown Chicago if I don't have to.) 6. Yes. Go get some ice cream and beer. Put those in your freezer/fridge and make sure they age about a day or so. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  7. That reminds me of a quote by...someone (I don't remember who). It goes something like, "Many people preach the freedom of speech to make of for the freedom of thought, which they avoid." You can't have it both ways. You can't say that you support free speech if you want to censor what you don't like. Free speech means that there's a risk that members of the KKK will go on Springer and talk about their beliefs. There's a risk that Dr. Laura will go and tell women to not get an education since they should be housewives. The responsibility of having such a freedom of speech is taught to those in journalism and broadcasting while they're in school and on the job. They know not to do the whole slander/libel thing. They know not to cuss. The rest of us have a similar responsibility. We know not to shout "FIRE!" in a crowded room if a fire doesn't exist. Pretty much, don't say something that can infringe on someone else's rights. As someone earlier had stated, you do not have the right to not get offended. If such a right existed, we'd all be in trouble! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  8. Did he continually use the F word or something? I'll agree that a business should do with its employees as it sees fit, but I do not understand what the FCC is getting its panties in a bundle about. I do not understand how people are so okay with censorship. Fine, so it was a business that made that decision, but that decision was made based on the FCC's actions. 9. Neither Chicago dz is open (oops...eeneR corrected me). Paxton is. Richmond is. And (where Phreezone, Wildblue and I will be) Greene County is. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  10. So beer is full of the good carbs? That's what Oatmeal Stouts are made for! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  11. I tried the Atkins diet when I was in college, fat, and desperate to lose weight. I woke up, had eggs and cheese, and I lasted a whole 5 hours on that diet! I went and had an ice cream sandwich later on that day! Anyone telling me that my body "can't process the carbs" in my daily yogurt and oatmeal needs mental help. I lost more weight eating good carbs and not putting my body through Hell than I did doing anything else. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  12. What if you want to buy raffle tickets? Can you buy those beforehand? I hope wildblue won't get too jealous if I bid on Bo! Maybe paulagc can keep wildblue company, and they can chaperone us! Maybe I'll throw myself on that list, depending on what love slave entails. There's another smokin' dz.commer that wants to put herself on that list. She'll bring in quite the profits if she does!
  13. You're saying that heterosexual couples are better. That is your opinion, and you don't provide much fact to prove it. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  14. Then, we better start making birth control mandatory for teenage girls since that is and causes much bigger problems. Kids need food and water. We may as well start making sure that they don't get in families who can't provide those. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  15. Then don't try to use the benefits of heterosexual families as a way to keep same sex couples from having a family. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  16. So, why aren't you fighting to outlaw divorce? How do you know I'm not? I don't usually make assumptions based on people I know nothing about, but you must've had a pretty decent childhood, or you've had a poor childhood in a one-parent home. For those that had pretty crappy childhoods because of two parents being together would strongly disagree with your sentiment. I have quite a few friends that were happy when their mothers kicked their child-beating fathers to the curb. I would sincerely hope that that never changes. 18. People who have sex with the woman on top call two women having sex immoral, and they want to prevent it as much as they possibly can. They will not try to prevent hetero sex with a woman on top, though. You're right. So, sins aren't "equal," who's who to say which ones are worse? The Bible certainly can't. We can't go and put 4 year olds in jail for lying about cookies. The Bible is useless for deciding which laws we should make. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  19. Then why do people fight tooth and nail and call others names if they're just as bad? Really, which is worse: having premarital sex and using birth control or having premarital sex without using birth control and raising a baby in poverty? Which is worse: a gay man and a gay woman forced into a hetero union because that's they only way they can have kids, raising kids in misery, or a happy union between same sex couples and raising kids in a positive environment? Which is worse: someone lying to their spouse about everything so that the marriage doesn't end or honesty in the marriage and a divorce? (oh, this reply wasn't at you, MissKriss, but I think you know that!) There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  20. Mary, thanks for your help in the sky and at the altar at the WFFC! You introduced me to so many different "aspects" of the sport! Actually, you are quite an inspiration to women in the sport! There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  21. Okay, well then when they made these laws, how did they decide that having oral sex was worse than lying to some woman about her husband cheating on her? Since having oral sex is illegal and lying is not, I'm assuming that oral sex is worse of a sin. Also, if they used the Bible to make laws, why do we have government if God is supposed to be the one true judge? Shouldn't we live in anarchy and have no one judge anyone else? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  22. That's fine. I'm talking about more than just gay marriage. I'm affected by people who use the Bible to support their stance. People still try to get birth control outlawed, and they use the Bible to back up why. I can't buy beer on Sundays, and many people in the Bible belt try to keep it that way when business try to propose changing that law. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  23. You are missing my point then. I don't use the Bible to decide what's right or wrong for me. However, when I'm trying to understand why other people want things in a certain way, I want to understand where they're coming from. I do not understand how sins are ranked in the Bible. I do not understand how people consider sex with a woman on top as less of a sin than two women having sex since both are supposed to be sins. Shouldn't people be protesting oral sex just as much as they're protesting gay marriage? Shouldn't they be putting 4 year olds in jail for lying about that stolen cookie??? So, it's safe to say that most people broke them when they were very very young. I do not know of anyone who hasn't lied to their parents at least once. Why aren't people getting on the government's tail about getting polygraphs attached to everyone then? Once again, I agree. I tend to go by right/wrong in how much it infringes on someone else's rights. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  24. Sorry, I wasn't very clear! People try to use the Bible to get many laws passed. People are opposed to birth control because of the Bible. People are opposed to gay marriage because of it. However, many of these same people have had sex with a woman on top. So, how are they deciding which sin is worse? There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
  25. Yeah, I have my own morals, and I know how things fall in the "which is worse" category. However, when people use the Bible to back up what they're saying, how do they use it? Where in the Bible is it saying that, "This is something that really needs to be abolished from Earth!"? Where is the Bible saying, "This sin isn't so bad!"? People try to use the Bible and their religion to back up what's "right" and what's "wrong." I just don't see where in the Bible it says that something is slightly wrong and something is really really really wrong. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
