The 2003 war in Iraq - does anybody still fully support it?
NCclimber replied to vortexring's topic in Speakers Corner
Based our interactions here, I rarely believe you. I still consider your claim about Colin Powell attempting to coverup the My Lai massacre a fine piece of fiction. -

Where SPECIFICALLY on the page you linked, are your claims backed up? You can download the entire report for yourself from that page. Riiight Somewhere in that 229 page report there might be something to back up your claim. SSDD -
Have I, on this thread or anywhere else, attempted to equate normal christians with YEC fundamentalist fraudsters? I don't know. Have you? What's your definition of "normal" Christian?
-
Does condecension fit the bill? Still a different word. Semantic wordplay... oh boy. The point that several have been trying to address is there are a number of Christian bashers around here, who jump at the chance to to paint with a broad brush, directly or indirectly attacking Christians in general, whenever one of these Westboro Baptist, "assassinate Hugo Chavez", creationist musuem stories comes up. A few on the usual suspects have already chimed in on this thread.

Except the words are different. I was thinking the kid used some type of voice synthesizer to make him sound like Bush.
-
I'm guessing we'll be seeing more of that kid in the near future. Funny stuff!

Including internet forums.

WOW That's obscene! When do impeachment proceedings begin?

That seems an unwarranted assumption under our current legal framework. You mean the one where it's illegal to sell your organs? I refer you to www.dropzone.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cgi?post=2821049#2821049 Seems like that would be equally prohibitive of selling either.

I would really like to read about that. Please post a link if you come across it.
-
This may have already been addressed. If so... sorry. If we make it legal to sell organs, then we are simultaneously making it legal to buy organs. With our global economy, it's a hop, skip and a jump to third world slave traders getting in on the act.

I meant "How can "temps reverse" while CO2 continues to climb?" -
This example and the one in the OP are two completely different situations. Miles apart. Do you think everyone would have been just as supportive if her husband jumped drunk and high, while foregoing all safety checks.. basically an accident waiting to happen.. and she decided to sue everyone who might have had a chance to stop him?

I can see how volcanic ash could offset the warming effects of CO2 in the near term, but your explanations don't really address how temps and CO2 could simultaneously rise over thousands of years, with temps reversing while temps continue to climb. -

You mean like this? There is an obvious cooling dropping period from the 40s to the 70s June through now that occurs while CO2 levels constantly rise during a republican administration. A five year (and probably a ten year) average would show cooling a rise. How is this explained.... other than discounting it being brought up? or this? Whoah! This could be a previously undiscovered Denier position: "There is global warming and it's humanity's fault but blame the yellow people." This seems to be an intermediate step between the previously identified species of "There is global warming but it has nothing to do with humanity" and "There is global warming and it's humanity's fault but it's a good thing." -

not really. -
Anyone remember who posted these? Considering they're based on bogus assumptions, could they be considered PAs?
