More Proof GWing Alarmists are Running Out of Time
NCclimber replied to rushmc's topic in Speakers Corner
Has the IPCC shown that manmade CO2 was in fact the cause of recent increases? I must have missed where you made this point in those four points. Bait and switch. -
Ever heard of Mike Nifong?

More Proof GWing Alarmists are Running Out of Time

Which of those four points shows that man-made CO2 is the primary driver of recent warming? Which of those four points is challenged by skeptics? Just to make something clear, I think most skeptics of the whole AGW leaning, believe: - Manmade CO2 output has consistently increased. - CO2 is a greenhouse gas - The IPCC predicted temperature rises in 1995 that have come to pass. - The planet is indeed warming up. To infer the skeptics refute these points seems a bit dishonest. -

Don't most of the skeptics of AGW agree with these conclussions. Seems kind of like a bait and switch to say "The science has been settled" and offer uncontroversial conclusions as proof.] -
What money saved? You can't buy alcohol or tobacco with food stamps.

What specifically has been settled? There's no debate on the net impact of man-made pollution on global temperatures? All climate researchers are in agreement? -
I used to date an OB-GYN Resident. Almost weekly, she'd tell me about another unwed teenager coming in with her 2nd or 3rd pregnancy. The doctors would always offer the option of tubal ligation (tied tubes) as a way to avoid future pregancies. Most of these girls would agree for the publicly funded procedure, but few ever showed up for it. Several of the Chief Residents used to joke that they'd all show up if the hospital would sweeten the deal with a free boombox.

Exhibit some before you claim the high ground. Hmmm....so according to you, I should not only be "ashamed" of my opinion, but I should also be religious in order to be permitted that opinion? Nice. Was it Mark Twain who said "It's better to keep your mouth shut and have people think you a fool, than open it and remove all doubt"?

I checked out the first 10 links. Two were dead. Several were only about Germany of the 30s and 40s. None came close to addressing my query. 95 per cent? Not hardly. How about 0 for 10? The Nazis called this propaganda. Rush Limbaugh does the same. Are such embellishments okay if they support your thinking? Tell you what, ... you provide stories by the above outlets and I'll check them out. Don't try using them to excuse the posting of an extremist website. Lovely. An obvious non sequitur, followed by a bogus personal attact. Fine bit of critical thinking, indeed.

This one was hysterical. http://www.hermes-press.com/nazification_step4.htm Reading through Hitler's first year and a half of power, correlations to the US over the last six years are specious, at best.

She could have the dreaded "Herpes Simplex 10". Tell Victor that Ramon - -the fella he met about a week ago? - -tell him that Ramon went to the clinic today, and I found out that I have, um, herpes simplex 10, and I think Victor should go check himself out with his physician to make sure everything is fine before things start falling off on the man.

Sorry to read you're currently getting the short end of the stick. Good luck.

DUDE that requires effort.. its so much easier to just put their fingers in their ears and go NANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANANA..............with things that they do not want to hear...or know about.... anything that does not fit their world view. In other words, it's okay to specious claims and then put the onus on others to refute or deny such claims and then accuse them of sticking their heads in the sand if they don't take your bait.

Silly Neo-Con.....more PA's dont help the discussion... Neither does ducking the issue. I'd still like someone to show the similarities between present-day US and June 1939 Germany!!! You know... a direct comparison between actual circumstances in the presentday U.S., to Germany in 1939. Here ya go I'm sure you'll disagree with every link on there, but at least here is a list of comparisons and links to dozens of comparisons, books, articles, and opinions. No disagreement, but definitely a case of information overload. Where specifically is there a direct comparison between actual circumstances in the presentday U.S., to Germany in 1939? Providing links like the one above is kind of like pointing someone to a set of Encyclopedias in lieu of presenting a valid, supported premise. There is this thing, apparently not too popular any longer, but it's called "Reading." Click a link related to the subject you'd like to know/learn more about. Read the words that accompany the link. You'll find what you're looking for there, I promise. You might not like it, but it's all there, mostly in black and white, except some of the pages are blue/white. Taking it a step further, one could offer the following as sufficient proof. A needle in a haystack indeed. http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-27,GGLD:en&q=bush+hitler+nazism+1939

I laughed at your assumption - I viewed avoiding bigots as bigoted. I said nothing of the sort. Your's was an absurd claim. Sorry you missed that. -
I agree. He seems to have done his homework and has consistently lobbied for his causes, for quite some time. Most celebrities make token appearances, giving the impression they are mainly interested in boasting their image.

I doubt his statements, if made publicly, would get him arrested in the US. I think we have different criteria regarding free speech than in you have in England. -

What you claimed was laughably absurd. I notice you didn't address my question. I'm not surprised. -

Hell we have PLENTY of people in this country who hate all of the politically correct speech ...that does not allow them to use the old derogatory terms they have for many ethnic minorities. Every time I hear that arguement... I see a racist in sheeps clothing. And some people's bigotry shows up through their use of intentionally offensive stereotypes besides racial ones. -
