And an extra note: I was informed by my 1SG that with the flag being permanently taken down today, I am the last soldier promoted on Giebelstadt Army Airfield. At 1700 GAAF will no longer exist and will be just another Nato base. I just thought that was kind of cool. Today I joined the wonderful ranks of the "Shield of Shame" or "The Sham Shield!" For those of you who arn't military, that means I got promoted to Specialist [E-4]. Yay for me! Just looking at the area dropzones, it looks like your right about just going to the farm. Plus there is showers and camping. So I would be good for staying the night. Doesn't look like anyone goes to 15k thou. The only time I have trouble with being single, is when I start to miss the personal time you get from a relationship. But I have a good 3 - 6 months before that starts kicking in again, so I am good for a while. How often do you use the battery? Another problem is if you don't periodically unplug it and use the battery then it could simply die. *not an expert, just been preached to about it from our S-6 numerous times... I get those all the time. For me the problem is driving a convertable in Florida after spending too long away. If you do it more often, you'll set up a "base tan" and you wont burn as easily.
