  1. Went on a cruise last year with my wife. We hit up Cabo and PV. I'm good friends with the Skydive Sol guys in Cabo, so that was a great time in port. PV was a lot of fun just bar hopping all day and hanging at the beach. As far as being on the boat, never again. Too many people, the food was horrendous, the pools were packed and the constant blaring on the big screen from "Todd the cruise director" was annoying as hell. And I got food poisoning the last day. I think it was the sushi
  2. So you think that AAD fund had anything to do with keeping CQS from getting any where for the last two yrs? ROFLMAO Yea that is a good one. Had nothing to do with it at all! The federal aviation laws is what stopped them and will stop them again, not the tiny minor threat of the USPA AAD fund.... LOL You did, good for you, feel free to again, no one is stopping you. Did I and would I.... nope not now and most likely never will because that fund does little, it's a drop of water in a vast ocean, (those I know who did get funding said it was helpful to them, what few there are) and because I don't agree with how OUR due monies is wasted on other pet projects that have little to do with true advocacy and keeping skydivers protected to use FFA's. Stratostar. You know, and I know, without really knowing, that the USPA is on top of the Longmont issues. You also know that the AAD fund has helped DZOs win FAA Part 16 cases, which affects all of us for the good in the long haul. The fund is used for cases that will have a positive outcome, furthering our quest to rightfully access airports for skydiving. You contradict yourself by saying it does no good and then saying it has helped the few that received funding. While I am with you, and take issue with certain ways our "dues" are spent, I think that contributing to the AAD fund is a good thing. And as far as your dues money being spent, how much FREE information and assistance has the USPA given you over the years to get your own DZ running? More than your $35 per year I'm sure. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater...
  3. If the USPA hired an attorney every time a Group Member DZ get's sued, our individual dues would have to be $10,000 per year.

  5. The Sharks are killing it this season. Not as big of a surprise as...Tampa Bay? WTF got into those guys? And the Avs...geez! Patrick has them playing tremendous hockey.
  6. We're 15 minutes up the road. www.tsunamiskydivers.com Except you need to visit the one in California
  7. I have said no numerous times. I was just curious if anyone knew anything about them and if they were affiliated with Skyride, or whatever they go by now.
  8. http://www.flyinfoxgifts.com/index.html These guys have been e-mailing relentlessly to get me to sign up. Are they part of our favorite middlemen scammers?
  9. We have a very well attended New Year's Revolution boogie with world class organizers, helicopter jumps, NYE party and sunset booze cruise at Tsunami Skydivers in Oceanside.
  10. That's how excited I was when I heard I made the cover after 30 years. Only to find out it was a great shot of my butt...
  11. Litigation costs a LOT of money. Remember that when you renew your membership. Send a few dollars to the Airport Access Defense Fund.
  12. Holy crap! I was going to call you last night to make sure you were watching! Goal #4 was sicker than sick! 19 years old. Wow.
  13. Have her come down to Oceanside. We're worth the drive.
  14. They aren't in business as of now according to my "sources".
  15. First coach of the season axed! That was quick.
  16. The back up is Jeff Zatkoff. I watched him play a season in the ECHL for the Reign. He's pretty good. It will be interesting to see if he can make the jump from AHL to NHL. He was a King's draft choice.
  17. I like the Leafs, and I think it would be great for the NHL if they could win a Cup. I wish the Leafs and Habs could become dominant again for a few years and renew their rivalry in a big way. But until that happens, GO PENS!
  18. The Rangers are in total demise.
  19. The Kings are making a huge trade?
  20. You do know that MFF is the USPA group member at Cal City already?
  21. Well my fellow mother puckers. It's time!!!!! This will be a very interesting season. Will Torts finally light a fire under the Sedin Sisiters and whip the Canucks to the Holy Grail? Will the Hawks remain the elite team of the league? Will the Kings stay healthy this year and make a return to the finals? Will MAF be able to stop a beach ball in the playoffs? Will the Sharks make one last run with a couple of old guys that have had excellent careers without a Cup? Will the Oilers youth and skill get them into the playoffs? Will the Olympics be epic as usual? So much fun coming up! My prediction...Kings vs Pens for Lord Stanley!!!!! Good luck everyone! Go Pens!!!!!!!
  22. There have been licensed USPA members that have hurt the sport far more than Travis did. And they never were suspended.IMHO Travis has an A license, no ratings.
  23. That Didn't work so well for David Carradine, now, did it.
