  1. Check out this link. There are occasionally good things on there. In fact it looks like there is at least one now at a quick glance. http://www.skydivenet.com/news.htm Rhonda
  2. The Flyboyz would like to thank everyone who came out to Perris for the Flyboyz Film Festival. It was great to see such a show of support even though there was no skydiving all weekend. We had a great time anyway with parties all three nights and the premier of the films on Saturday evening. We will be rescheduling the Festival for sometime later this year and will post all the details on the website as soon as we know them. The films that were premiered in September will be carried over to the new dates and the judging will take place at the Flyboyz Film Festival 2001 (part two). We'll make this one even bigger and better than before. Rhonda http://www.flyboyz.com "God Bless America!"
  3. Hey everyone, Just wanted to let you know that the Flyboyz Film Festival is still going on this weekend. Come on out and join the party. And when the planes start flying again, the best damn freeflying anywhere. Let's use this as a way to celebrate life in the wake of the great tradgedy that has effected us all this week. Come out and and celebrate with us!! We've worked really hard to make this the best Film Festival ever so let's PARTY!!!!!! Hope to see you all there. Rhonda www.flyboyz.com

  7. Comedy is one of the categories so yes it can just make people laugh. Jump out to the website and look at the guidelines. Rhonda
  8. September 13- 16 at Perris Valley Skydiving. Be there!! For schedule and details on submitting films for the festival visit http://www.flyboyz.com. You don't have to submit a film to enjoy the festival. There will be activities all weekend for all registered participants whether you submit a film for the competition or just want to participate in the fun. I hope to see you all there. Rhonda
  9. My name is Rhonda and I am a Web Design Engineer for a large software company in Redmond Washington. Hmm wonder who that could be? http://windowsmedia.com
  10. Hit and Chugs are a blast but we usually save those for days when we can't get any altitude because of clouds. Hopefully, in August that won't be an issue. HOPEFULLY!!! Rhonda
  11. I'm from Kapowsin and also happen to do their website. It's http://www.skydivenet.com/kapowsin. Not much on the web site these days (ie. pictures or video). Long story don't want to bore you but you can at least get directions and some basic info from it. There is no bunk house to speak of but people often crash in the hangar on the Tuffet, in one of two rooms with beds or on the many sofas. If you need a place to sleep, we will find you a place to sleep. We have a full time Twin Otter and a Caravan that is there when it is not being leased out to other DZ's. We also have a swoop pond and two landing areas depending on experience. The view of Mt. Rainier is amazing and the weather in August is always beautiful. Hope to see you there. Fire me an email closer to that time and I'll be sure to look for you. Rhonda
  12. Hey DiveDave, This is Rhonda. I was at Perris this weekend helping out Fritz and Eli with the Skills Camp. Did you have a good time and learn a lot from the Boyz? Would you be willing to write a little paragraph for me about your experience at the Skills Camp for an article I'm going to write? That would be awesome if you could. If you can, you can send it to my rhonda@flyboyz.com address. Thanks Rhonda
  13. Hey everyone, Just a friendly reminder that in two short weeks, that's July 7 and 8, the Flyboyz are having a Freefly Skills Camp at Perris. The camp is open to all beginner and intermediate freeflyers and from the sounds of it, should be a fun and exciting learning experience. And as if that isn't enough, the 2001 Flyboyz Film Festival is September 13-16 at Perris. You definitely don't want to miss that one. But not to worry. I will be reminding everyone off and on between now and then. If you want all the info, check out the Flyboyz on the web at http://www.flyboyz.com I hope to see you all there!! Rhonda
  14. Be glad you're not in Seattle. Nuff said! Rhonda
  15. I used to. I'm not jumping at all right now. Broken femur, had surgery to remove the rod yada yada yada. My husband still jumps my Dolphin though. He even freeflys with it but only after I had a rigger make some mods to it to cover the bridle and risers better. I had just started Freeflying when I broke my femur so never got past a sit. I'm going to get a brand new Infinity when I start jumping again. That is what my husband has as his main rig and loves it. Almost everyone at our DZ (Kapowsin Air Sports in WA) has them since they are made there. They are really great freefly rigs. Where do you jump? Do you travel much to jump? Rhonda
  16. Ok Rhonda what is your last name? My last initial is B also. B for Bailey. That would just be too weird. Rhonda
  17. I wouldn't recommend freeflying with it unless you have a rigger make some mods to it to cover the bridle and risers better. My husband had an early deployment with one in a sit once and it wasn't pretty. Nearly tore off the reserve container completely and he was black and blue all over. Check out Infinity from Velocity Sports Equipment. Great Freefly rigs. There website is. http://www.skydivenet.com/vse/ Rhonda
  18. Oh yea. And the name SkyDolphin doesn't have anything to do with the container. I just really like dolphins. My daughter made me a t-shirt with a dolphin under canopy once for mother's day and it just sort of stuck. Rhonda
  19. Rhonda66, I used to jump a Dolphin. When I start jumping again in a few months after I fully recover from surgery (long story) I'm going to be jumping an Infinity. Rhonda
  20. You can a small clip from Flyboyz Party Mix on their website. It's really slow unless you have a fast connection so be prepared to wait for it to download. The good news is because it's in a frame by itself, you can check out the rest of the site while you are waiting for the video to download instead of just sitting there staring at the screen. Rhonda Http://www.flyboyz.com
  21. I'm doing night dives in the "freakin" freezing Puget Sound next weekend. I love diving just hate being cold. Can't wait to go to Honduras this winter. Rhonda
  22. The Flyboyz are holding a Freefly Skills Camp at Perris Valley Skydiving the weekend of July 7-8. The schedule and other information about the Skills Camp has just been posting to their website along with a schedule for the 2001 Film Festival. Information about the Film Festival is still trickling so be sure to check back often for all the latest info. Rhonda http://www.flyboyz.com
  23. Doesn't have anything to do with going to college. It does have to do with having the skills necessary to get a higher paying job. I know lot's of people who make way less than me (and no, I'm not going to say how much that is) that have Master's degrees and I don't have any college degree. I'm 100% self taught. So get a computer and a book and teach yourself some good computer skills. That's really all it takes. Rhonda
  24. Unfortunately the Perris cam has been down all week. Looks like they are trying to get it back up by Today (Friday).
  25. Well, yes and no. Mike is in fact gone but Fritz and Eli are still around, operating the Flyschool. The Film Festival is still a go for this year and who knows what else may happen. But as soon as I get any new information, I will post it on their website. So stay tuned and check out Flyboyz.com often for schedule of events. Rhonda http://www.flyboyz.com
